I can remember as a little boy visiting my Grandparent's house around noon and my Grandma glued to the TV intensely watching this silly show as if she were addicted to it. The musical tune has never escaped my mind.

Just possibly this melody could be programmed to be softly played in the background after signing into this site:

Omg. Victor -n- Nikki 4-eva!!

Second favorite soap. Sorry can never get over the loss of All My Children. Used to play a drinking/trivia game guessing Erica Kane's marriages

Also doesn't seem as white trash if your memories of the song are of Nadia Komaneche (sp?) floor routine in the Olympics ..

Actually .... depending on who's memory it is to could either be childhood idol (mine) or dirty pervy mofo (un-named icky creepy dude). Guess that does change how you hear the song :)

Another one of my childhood memories was listening to the "Schmenge Brothers" on SCTV and buying ALL their official soundtracks from Columbia House mail-order Company.

I eventually learned all their famous songs before becoming a high school student, as well as learned how to play the acordian for special events such as funerals, birthdays, and weddings.

Rest in peace, John Candy. You'll always be a sadly missed Canadian legend with a heart of gold:

Enjoy,

The truth is the only strong child hood memories that I have are studying like crazy, in school, because if you don't then the competition will eat your lunch and laugh at you.

My mom was a single mother. We never had much money, and sometimes I had to skip days of school to help her with her house cleaning jobs. She was seriously ill, and we had no other way to live but DO THE JOB.

When I turned 11 my dads work had a program where they would pay half of different activities in the community.

Mom let me choose one. I chose horse back riding lessons, as I had always been in love with horses. I do not remember being more happy doing ANYTHING else in my life. It cost $12 for each lesson. This has got to be one of my best memories. /default_wink.png Rode for 3 years until the company stopped paying half.

My mom worked for everything we had, I now realize that she did not have that extra money but made it happen for me. Somehow the way I grew up made me who I am today.

Appreciate what you have, lots of people dont have it!

  5. N @ necromedic: It was, indeed, and very soft. Would almost flow through your hands on a hot day.
  6. Mom&PopShop @ Mom&PopShop: I'm trying to remember what the texture was like.. I know it came in a pouch like chewing tobacco. I remember it being cut up in strips like shredded chewing tobacco too, was that the case???

  11. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: Bubblegum rack? Like, boobies?
  12. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: Don’t message people about things like veterinary care without taking care to mind the rules you two crazy nuts. More at stake than getting bad info or scammed, there’s predators out there looking for bigger fish and will step on a guppy to get to them. Fishing expeditions aren’t just for private citizens enjoying a calm weekend exploring the lake for a fish hookup. Offish of offishial fishing investigations may be looking for the best fishing hole and scare off the big
  13. xenxra xenxra: what do you mean "what happened to it"? it's sitting at the store on the bubblegum rack like it always has
  14. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: What happened to Big League Chew? That was some mighty fine chewing gum. I personally never had any, but I think of it often.
