My dr gives me Cloanazepham 0.5 mg 3 to 4 daily. It used to help for sleep but it’s more for stress I guess. I was on Temazepham 20 mg I I think I should have stayed on that. But Klonopin did the trick. I have been on  it forever at least 6 years now. The only way to get back on Temazepham is I need too Dona sleep study again. I hate doing that so I will just stay what I’m on. I wanted Xanax but doctors in Canada don’t give this drug out too much for there patients. Not sure why. I know Dr is the U.S give it out a lot but not Canada. I hope you all feel better. 👍👍

@Pushkii yes I did but it seems like it’s not lasting as long as before. I take at least 6 a day now. 0.5mg.

@Pushkii I used them getting off zann*** but did but have the legs of stronger benzos. I was off for 6 months but dang this stress from Covid-19 and Election and health problems I gave in last week. I prefer the over zann*** because withdrawal is a bitch!

I’m only taking Methadone because of withdrawal. It doesn’t help me for pain. It’s only cause of withdrawal when I crushed my arm. They had my me in perks the Hydromorphine 4 mg. 4 a day to 6 a da my to 8 a day. I said I can’t live this way anymore. So I found out about Methadone and it was amazing cause the withdrawals were gone instantly. I miss the feeling I had from painkillers but all I know is it worked for me and Methadone doesn’t het you High. It’s the total opposite. You don’t get high at all. It takes that feeling away and no withdrawals. It’s a amazing drug if you want off pain killers. So amazing. Also I stayed on the benzodiazepines cause it help with stress.

I don’t think this is probably a good long term plan as methadone is a full antagonist and you build a tolerance to it very quickly.  If ever there were a hell on earth, coming off methadone and benzo is certainly it.  Good luck.

@jeremycombs62 Sounds like hell on earth is my future then as I'm currently on both. 75ml Meth@done daily for @ddicti0n rec0very and B3nz0s to help with str3ss and anx1ety.

Not looking forward to the time when it's time to come off them altogether!

@Tara  I know this question wasn't targeted at me, but as a user of heroin and crack / cocaine I feel I could chime in with my opinion, if that's ok.

Now stimulants (in my case crack or powdered cocaine) seemed to be mainly a psychological addiction. I found that the addiction was all in my head, and if I was lucky enough to have a day when I wasn't thinking of that all too powerful stimulant, I could focus on other things and be happy without it. And the longer I could keep myself distracted from it, the easier it became to get my life back together. Then before too long, it's been months since my last use and I don't even think about it anymore.

Heroin, on the other hand, while I do think it is a psychological addiction to a degree, you also get those nasty physical withdrawals too. You feel weak without it, you have hot and cold sweats, you can't eat, you have stomach cramps, restless legs, everything. And then of course because of all the nasty physical symptoms, it makes you think about it again. You can't think of anything else, so it's a painfully physical addiction but also very psychological too.

And for that reason, I will always believe opioids are much much harder to come off than any stimulant. This is of course my own opinion and others may think differently due to different life experiences.

Just wanted to share my 2 cents.

Stay safe peeps.

@Tara Haha I'm sometimes the same. Sometimes I'll post a question on Reddit or somewhere as soon as I wake up, then when I get notifications replying to it, it confuses me until I remember what I've read.

don't try all at once. it's superhuman. first taper the one, then the other, and very slowly. took you long time to get on it, so take time go off it
I second this. Taper half a m!ll!gr@m at a time down, reducing by that amount every 3 to 5 days. Otherwise the b3nz0§ can kill you and the m3th@d0n3 will make you want to die.

  8. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  9. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  11. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  12. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  13. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
  14. Alkazar @ Alkazar: It is INSANE how doctors treat tax paying hard working people like criminals when they ask for opioids. This world just keeps getting more and more backwards. But thanks to this site to be able to find people to help when no one in the medical world will.
