Hi,

I have a lot of Codeene 60mg but it doesn't work very good, for me.

I tried to mix it with Tylenol to create an equivalent to T4.

T4 works good for me but my mixture doesn't seem to have the same affect.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong or a better way to do this.

Thanks.

So I guess no one knows how to make Codeene 60mg have the same affect as Tylenol4?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated because the Codeene 60mg doesn't work well for me.

I'm not a chemist but I'm not sure you can mix two separate pills and expect to be effective as a brand. I feel it's probably has something to do with the chemical process of making the brand vs taking 2 separate. I'm not sure how good those 60's are anyway. Seems not very.

Hi Headbanger,

I got the 60"s from starliterx. From what I have read, starliterx iis supposed to have really good 60's.  I crushed the 60's and the Tylenol and then mixed it together but I don't know why the mixture doesn't feel the same as T4.  I wonder if they put something else in the T4 or maybe I need to grind it much better?  There must be a trick to it but I can't find it anywhere on the web.

I think it's got something to do with the manufacturing process and maybe some added ingredients. Plus your T4's may have been made at an Pharm with good quality control. I thought about the same thing a long time ago. Same results as you.

Boy I bet you wished you paid more attention to Chem class in high school now don't you. /default_rolleyes.gif

Hi Headbanger,

Yep, LOL. There has to be a way to get the same affect as the T4's.  Oh well, I have a bunch of Codeene 60's so I'll just experiment.

I got the 60mg kodes from SL too and I found them to have the same effect as the T4's I get from my Doc. I never really thought the APAP would make the pill stronger (except for mild syptoms treatable with tylenol) I just thought they put that in there so you don't abuse the Kodeen in the T4s.But anyway I thought that if you wanted to make the pure Kodeen feel like a T4 all you would have to do is take a tylenol when you take the kodeen. I guess that is not the case though huh?

The APAP does NOT make the active ingredient stronger in any way.

Its made that way to prevent misuse - nothing else!

I guess then the OP must think the strength of the SL 60mg pure Kode@n is not the same as what you get from the pharmacy if you get a script for Tylen0l 4s. I've tried both and in my opinion I can't tell the difference strength wise so I think the dose of the SL product is accurate.

I'd never buy something with APAP inside...all I need is pain relief.
