Since nothing surprises me any longer when it comes to Trump disgracing the office of President, last night seemed like pretty typical behavior. Lies, bullying, refusal to denounce white supremacists, hurling insults rather than address the issues...ad nauseum.

I know a lot of people are not fond of Biden either, but this election is not one to sit out because you don't want to pick the lesser of two evils. Usually that is just a turn of phrase, this is the first time where I feel that one truly can be described as "evil".

Trump has brought out the worst in us. Friends I never realized were racists suddenly have become emboldened to post terrible things on social media. Maybe it's good to know who I should disassociate myself with, but I preferred when they wouldn't dare to post such trash.

It saddens me how many people support Trump, but I have to believe that if the majority gets out and votes he will not be reelected.

Last night he ridiculed Biden for wearing a mask. Now I also see on social media that there are a lot of theories on the usefulness of wearing them. Maybe they are right.

But what could be the harm of everyone trying it for a couple months? I will be the first to admit it doesn't work if that turns out to be the case. Without any other answer right now I fail to understand why it isn't worth trying so the question can be answered on whether it has a positive impact or no impact at all.

So I urge all of you to vote. I am not a young woman and I believe this is the most important election the US has had in my lifetime. That is why I feel the need to step away from the neutral moderator role and try to do something besides complain to my friends and husband.

And now, sugar daddy has COVID as well. What a world we live in...
I saw that on the msm this morning.  I knew it would happen at some point with making mask wearing politic@l.  His wife is positive also.  It's sad, even though he brought it on himself, but now I just think about all the people he's been around.  Some may even die because of his carelessness.  Of course, he'll probably be just fine, as he has the best medical care in the us. Hopefully this will open his eye's and make him realize that covid is serious and not something to take lightly.  I can't blame all the death rates on him alone though, as much as I dislike him.  Americ@ns are in the mindset that they are FREE, free from anyone, even the gov3rnment from telling them what to do.  If people didn't have that mindset of being free and not having to do what their told, than most the population would have been wearing mask all along.  It's sad because if everyone just listened from early on, so many more lives may have been saved,  Not to mention the positive covid rate.  It just wouldn't be so high.  I'm the the NE in us and even during the beginning, I would go the grocery store, get what I need quick and get out.  I thought that when I left my house, the streets would be empty.  It wasn't like that at all.  It seemed scary to see that most people were living their lives as they would any other day!  Streets were the same with same amount of cars, people walking down the streets, friends in groups, without mask, talking.  Kids playing in playgrounds.  Lows, Walmart, every store was open as normal and no less or more crowed.  Everything just seemed normal, when it wasn't.  It was so odd and it remained like this since covid was announced till now.  It's like most people didn't even quarintine as told.

  9. Alkazar @ Alkazar: I dont know how to direct reply to people on here. But the Canada Post strike will affect any mail coming from the US. It will be held at a facility until the striek is over. Mail that is being sent from CAD to the US will just not be picked up. It all has to be private delivery services now.
