doc wants to put me on Lexapro

I grew a strong craving to Doritos and cheese, which led to many extra lbs. on scale.  I also lost the finer qualities of my personality: being a smart-ass, quick witted and spunky.  Plus, some days, I felt like a slug.   Although the Lexapro helped with the anxiety, the trade-off wasn't worth it.

 
This is the first drug of it's type that hasn't given me bad side effects. I actually kinda like it.

 
no lie the 3 months i was on it, and got off cause i was like i dont need this stuff, lol for being a male it really does give you the cry spells, i would feel bad and think and cry but after the first week i was back to normal, the weird side effects were worse than me tapering down with x@n@x side effects, it lexapro w/ds making you reflect on everything and i did get sleepy alot with it, i had to push through it with lots of energy drinks 

i stick to my x@n@x, this SSRI stuff aint for me, the docs wont take it themselves they textbooks , they classify your symptoms from what they read in their journals, text books, case studies and test and experiment with you. Dont take the chance with a doc who will pump u up with meds and than in the end you crash and burn! 

 
I've been having seizures lately. I read Lexapro can cause it. I'm already prone to seizures. Anyone ever experience a side effect of seizures?

 
i went to a psych back in May for the first time ever and filled out a questionnairre thingy... he RX'd me adderall (one 15mg tab twice/day - we're up to one 20mg tab twice/day now, working my way up to 30mg tab twice/day) and lexapro (started at 25mg and worked up to 50mg).  i have always had issues with social anxiety and such, and i can say that it has helped with that, but other than that, the effects aren't overtly noticeable nor did it change my personality or anything.
