Does Klonopin make anyone else "crazy"?

@Smoka90 I  used a little too much xnx yesterday and my stims aren't working well at all today. I'm also in the acute withdrawal from kratom, not horrendous, but kratom totally kept my stims from working so I had to quit. My stims worked fine yesterday, but I took more xanax than I should have yesterday so I'm having trouble waking up. Ugh.  Does anyone know anything about how kratom keeps stimulants from working? Every time I kick, my stims work better and better from the last kratom dose. Yesterday was my first full day off kratom.

You found that kratom prevented stims from working properly? That's interesting, because I think I've read anecdotal reports of it, and I'm sure I also read that kratom interacts with your dopamine receptors in some way.

I'm a long term kratom user, and I use kratom for four days, then use my prescription meds for three days. Kratom just helps my prescription last longer, for me. Anyway, I use stims twice a week, never daily or two days in a row, but I've found that despite that fairly restricted use, I'm needing at least 3-4x the 'normal' dose to achieve a desired effect. I've always put it down to just a different brain chemistry, but I know that the strain on my body will still be a lot. So it's not ideal...

I should say they do work, kratom doesn't completely block them or anything, but sometimes the doses are very big and I've done nothing to warrant a tolerance that high...

@Smoka90 My stims are working better the further I get away from my last dose :) Interesting huh? Brains are weird. It could also have to do with the fact that I was on an unnecessary anti psychotic that messed up my neurotransmitters and anything I take has the potential to keep my stim from working properly, who knows. I'm getting much better. Thanks!!

  1. @Jackie Chiles Sorry I missed your post. I have been through so many psychiatrist who basically followed their med school texts to a T and memorized package inserts. Ugh. I finally have a wonderful, but expensive psychiatrist who took me off all meds (all 8) only to find out that I have adhd and a sleep disorder with a little bit of anxiety. That's the completely abbreviated story, but shewwwww. I wish more psychs would think outside of the damn box. In my case, I was treated for anxiety at 19 with zoloft which spun into a million other problems, then it was depression, bipolar disorder, 2 mood stabilizers, a heavy antipsychotic, 2 antidepressants, 2 benzos, and a stimulant that didn't work because of the anti psychotic. Rawr! Feeling much better now.  Sorry for the psych rant. I read a blog and watch videos from Dr. Charles Parker, he explains how this happens to many patients, very interesting stuff since I'm studying to be a therapist in the mind/body "genre".

Sorry for all that. Thanks again Jackie for the welcome. Take care!
