Since the idiotic Trump Administration seems hellbent on reviving the war on drugs ( ie a war on its own citizens), how do you think that will play out?

Since Pedo Trump just signed an executive order making fentanyl a 'weapon of mass destruction' and outlined drug cartels as terrorist groups, I have a feeling that this is going to be so much worse than Drug War 1.0. Such a surreal world when the Sacklers go free and alleged cartel members are literally bombed from the sky with no evidence presented.

Anything and everything bro to distract the people from Epstein, healthcare and affordability… including as you’ve seen committing war crimes dropping bombs on Venezuelan “drug boats” without congress’s approval that are carrying coke NOT f€nt@nyl (that’s a known fact) and even “double tapping” to kill survivors. Fetty comes across the southern border so trump and hegseth claiming it’s a part of their new war on f€nt is bullshit. Just wants to start shit w Venezuela.

I have a feeling the f£ñt WMD EO will be used to justify extrajudicial k!11!ñg$ by LE domestically, designation as t€rr0r gr0üp will be used as grounds to imprì$0n people without due process (both domestic prisons and overseas ones like CECOT or Guantanamo). Earlier in the year RFK Jr talked about creating govt run organic farms which will double as r€h@b$, so in addition to the regular f0rç€d l@b0r that is allowed in prisons I think we will see it expand to other areas, especially to try to make up for the impact immigr@ti0n p0lic¥ has on agriculture. In addition to these crackdowns being used on actual drüg ü$€r$, I also expect to see this used as a justification for imprisoning political opponents (much like was done with immigration crackdowns targeting union organizers and pro Palestine student protesters) and marginalized groups that the admin wants to target (LGBT people for example). In short, I think this will be really bad.

Oh man I didnt even consider prison labor on farms, I know they use prison labor for firefighting in some states ( which is kinda cool if folks could actually get that kind of work when they get out ). If only prison focused on actual rehabilitation instead of punishment and extraction.

But I think you nailed it exactly, once they start to label drvg use or being 'anti-american' as 'terrorist act', it rationalizes more dramatic action that can be used against practically anyone. Pretty similar circumstances occurred in the Philippines under Duterte and tens of thousands of people were extra judicially executed for just being accused by randos of suspected drvg use. People who voted for this clown show are sociopaths.

I completely agree re: prisons focusing on rehabilitation rather than punishment and extraction, great way of putting that.

I had not considered the similarities to those events under Duterte either but that is a great point as well. I think there is a portion of the population who are propagandized to/primed to dehumaniz€ drüg ü$€r$ and acç€pt d€@th as a valid consequence for them already. I hope it doesn't get as bad as I suspect, but yeah looking pretty bleak imo
