Everything 80S...........

The 80's also reminds me of "The Monsters of Rock" stadium tours. I was in Germany in the early 80's, and these would be weekend events. For some odd reason, I can't remember the details!!!!! Must have been fun if I can't remember the details huh?

They used to play this song for what seemed like forever at Monster of Rock. LOL

Maybe the promoters should come up with a "Geriatric Monsters of Rock" tour. I'd certainly go!!!!!!

Who successfully completed the rubick's cube? I never did and still can't.

LOL I think I am already deaf from listening to concerts like these so going now may just be the final blow. LOL

I could never figure out the Rubik's Cube and used to take it apart and put back together. I find it amazing how some people can do it so fast while others find it hard to get past just getting one side all the same.

Didn't Jenga also come out in the 80's I once played it in college and we got to within 3 blocks of having it a perfect 1 block per layer tower and the only thing we did special was make a rule that you couldn't take out any center pieces.

Star Wars figures.... And He-Man figures... Especially Sekeletor's purple panther because he had a velvet finish...

I loved that Panther, in fact, I miss it! I may buy a replacement...

Lol...I'd pull the damn things apart, and line the colors up and put them back together..!
Too much work! I'd just take it to school and have the class genius solve it for me. Looking back, why didn't I put the effort in to try to solve it myself?

Metal head even know9 my late 20's. This hip hop horse shit leaves me constipated like r♧xy $.

I saw 'em twice too. Kip Winger is such a hottie!
HB,

I tried to PM you but can't. Not sure why. I've got a question! Do you need to add me as a friend? If so, "will you be my friend"? 😊

Omg I miss the 80s. Yes, the years! Lol I remember but back then kids used to play in the streets and ride their bikes in jumps stuff and play in the canals and go hiking and camping! Now the streets are empty the kids are in the house is locked in front of other electronic devices! And we along with them lol! I love the 80s!

I wonder what today's kids will think of their childhood? Probably like we do... "better times"... text messaging communication; video games 24/7; and spending most waking moments online. My kids were born right before the internet age so they played outside, ride bikes etc. I'm glad. Now, they love a video game now as young adults!

Just interesting that probably most people, regardless of their generation, think the years of their childhood was better than today.

What's interesting is when I meet kids or teens today who tell me I'm so lucky to have grown up in the 80s. I feel this way about the 50s and 60s. I would have loved to been there with the explosion of rock and roll, doo wop and the hairstyle and clothing. I even love movies from that era. Believe it or not, all of the dresses I wear are 50s reproduction. Minus the social issues, I love the pop culture of that era. Listening to Santo and Johnny's Sleepwalk right now!

I remember how flooded the streets were everyday after school and ESPECIALLY xmas and holidays!! Now it'd be comparable to ghost towns!! Rarely do I see streets that are as they were in the eighties!! When I do, they are usually areas where the parents are too low on income to afford much more than a bike and skateboard...this makes me sad, yet I know times change, and accept that puters are here to stay...and I see both the benefits and drawbacks of them. No man is an island, until computers helped us become AS islands! Well, being disabled REALLY changed my perspective!! Because it is hard for me to go play in ways I now look back on those days with a lean toward rather intense nostalgic perceptions!!! Anyhow, we may be the last of our kind, but I do believe we shall inevitably come full circle...or..,im delusional and refuse to believe things wont someday drive us back to playing in the streets and dirt!!!😠It was most certainly much less expensive!!! Of that Im assured each time the bills come due!! Lol!! God/dess bless the 80s!!! Peace y'all.

Wow I'm so glad to find this thread 80$ rocked . I remember partying and listen to Iron maiden ,dio ac dc and many more.. I really glad there was no email or computers because I use to cut school and hang out with the crew and my parents would of found out . Computers are good for learning and contacting friends and family ,but it was beepers in the 80 s and cell phone was in a bag ..I remember when 20 bucks was enough for a night to get by.. I hung out with a clicque of guys that knew I seen, heard or know nothing and if you want my to talk to you call my lawyer..The cellphones and texting would been kool but it was go to party or club meet girls and get them on paper and pencil ...I use have bartenders take my calls in three bars so after work I could make really paper...cops use to pull us over with a case of beer in a cooler and a bag of gold weed and makes us dump it and tell to split...Last but not the least the blow was the best...white lines............/ everyone was doing it...Your Dr lawyer uncle etc..long hair leivs I'm so glad I have them 80 s in my life ...oh BTW MTV use to be the best channel to watch when it was great bands doing a new video.. Not some bs Jersey shore crap that people from other places come act like azzes ...We use to party all night on that beach all summer in the 80 s that would of been a real show of jersey boys having fun ..Well I hope to the people who lived it this takes you back to them 80 sdays you loved and to them that didn't arrive yet ask someone that was and bet they have some great stories to tell

  1. CalFresh @ CalFresh: Thanks everyone. My family and I are safe ATM. @mellowella thank you, but they cleaned me out. the shelves are empty but I'm hoping to call in some favors to restock ASAP. @xenxra I will reach out to set up a secure comms channel for us. Thanks again all. Yesterday was tough, but the support I've received from those I can share is with has been a Godsend.
  2. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Mad love to you and your family @CalFresh
  3. xenxra @ xenxra: @CalFresh if you are able to DM me (in a secure manner) the transactions associated with your btc theft, i can look into that part for you at least. i;m still 99% certain if the fbi didn't discard my leads they could have gotten some of my coins back and considering you had your coins stolen within the us, you have a much better chance of recovery than me. unless they went through mixers i could probably trace them myself.
  4. O @ Outsider9173: @CalFresh Haven't been here long but I want to wish you a fast recovery

  10. mellowella @ mellowella: @CalFresh are you and your family safe? You’ve helped me in a pinch and were more than generous, and I’m sure you’ve helped others. How can we help you? Does it help at all if we completely buy out what’s left? Maybe that gives time and funds to restock and rebuild? I don’t want to break any rules here, but please let us know if we can do anything. All on your time of course.
  11. CalFresh @ CalFresh: thanks guys. I'm pulling together what I have left and leaning on the kindness of folks who support me to restock my shelves so that I can keep the lights on. Having my savings drained and my security vanish in an instant is paralyzing and the repercussions will only be realized in the coming days and weeks. for now I'm just trying to stay focused on the immediate priorities for ensuring this doesn't. cause cataclysmic failure to the life I've built for my children and I.
  12. H @ hotdog45: @CalFresh hey man if I can do anything, anything at all to help you get back on your feet let me know. Truly my heart goes out to you. I sent you an email also

  17. CalFresh @ CalFresh: friends, about a few hours ago my home was invaded by two punk thugs with guns. They stole everything I had in my home: cash, electronics, and mags, and forced me to transfer $20K in Bitcoin. it is a huge loss and I'm still reeling trying to figure out what i.can do to recover. For now I'm just trying to secure what little I have left so they can't take anything else. I'm telling you guys cause theres not many others I can tell. please bare w/ me, it'll take a few days to get back up and running
  18. CnC5 @ CnC5: @xenxra awesome
