Full metal jacket is a good one,esp the drill sergeant who did all that shouting without a script, just did it off the top of his head.

Still, not as good as Platoon, how long does Johnny Depp last in Platoon?didn't even realize he was in it until a few years later.
If I recall correctly, he died when they ran into that ambush, and they gave fucked up coordinates on their air strike. I didn't realize it was him, either. Lol, sounded legit speaking Vietnamese though xD

watched Tarantinos 'Django' last night, great film, justice for those bad doods at the end,esp the character Samuel L jacksn plays, infact all of them southern slavery plantation owners and their hired hands, not for the squeamish.

Sad that his German Dr partner doesn't make it out.

the original was on tv recently but i missed it,going to have to find it and give it a go compared to tarantinos updated version.
Unchained was ill Johnny, I quite liked that movie myself, too!

That was one nasty assed movie! Typical Tarentino! It was great tho! I love his movies!

Now got an urge to watch Reservoir Dogs again! Everything he does is good, but he'll never top that, I don't think

But for me, I love my cheesy 80s horror films! XD when it was all latex, red dyed snot and balloons filled with ketchup. The dafter the better. XD

It ain't a movie but Breaking Bad is proper hilarious with a serious side intertwined

Enter the Void or Waking Life. One is a fucking trip and the other is existential philosophy.

Has anyone seen "Memento"? Love that movie in or out of the zone.

yes, been a while since i watched it but remember it as a good film whatever zone i was in,actually prefer to watch films without being under the influence of anything,if that's what's meant by being in the zone means?

I usually watch a movie or read a book at least twice to take it in fully.

Sometimes i might have a friend visiting who doesn't shut up nearly all the way through.

I am a big fan of David Cronenburgs films,i was watching Rabid recently and a friend said after less than 10 minutes,"can we watch something else?".

No,give it time,i find that really rude,i wouldn't go to a friends house and start moaning about what they were watching and asking to watch something else, jeez, manners eh,they cost fuck all!
I HAD to watch this movie twice to pick up what I missed the first time. Half is going backwards in time and half is Goin forward. It's a trip! One of those movies like Inception that have a hundred different theories about it floating around the web. I was so intrigued my huband's bought it for me.

Husband, I only have one actually. I type like a neanderthal.

I just saw that movie John Wick with Keanu  Reeves To me, that was a great movie!  Of course I  liked Clint Eastwood movies when I was a kid.. this was one just for me!

A lot of David Lynch films really only make sense if you're tripping. I watched Eraserhead 3 times in a row while on pounds sterling pence & it was brilliant.

On the other hand one of my favorite movies of all time, Apocalypse Now, completely freaked me out while using the same substance.

I really enjoyed The Wall while in the zone and I have seen it a million times.  I still love that movie and the music never gets old!

I also dig Apocalypse Now but have never watched it while Tr!pp!ng.  I think it would totally freak me out as well.   Trainspotting is a classic...loved it.

The Outlaw Josey Wales always reels me in......I can't tell you how many times I have seen that movie and I still always watch it whenever it is on....

Wall-E and Up are two of my faves to watch while burning some KB.....Wall-E is actually quite prophetic as it seems the good ole USofA is falling into the obesity, shopping, and commercialism abyss.....

I don't smoke marijuana anymore because it makes me so so paranoid and distressed,  However, when I did, we were sitting around on a typical Sunday Night and my friend Ryan put a film on, purely because it was just starting.  It was 'Spirited Away', a Japanese film in a cartoon style, but not a manga film or mangaesque.  If you enjoy having a smoke then watch it, it's beautiful, magical even.

The Godfather Epic..  Does GF 1&2 no commercials and it is about 7 hours long. Starts when Vito Androlinni? was 9 years old.. comes do America, changes his name to Vito Corleone.. Then goes through the Robert DeNiro scenes...  doesn't even get to Connie's wedding and the mortician visiting the Godfather (Marlo Brando) scene until 1.5 hours into the movie...  Good layout.

I got pretty toasty this past weekend and managed a freakin Hobbit Marathon.   I have to say I have never read the books, but I really dig Led Zeppelin, so I feel a bit of a kindred spirit with the Hobbits.   8 hours of the "Desolation of Smaug" and an "Unexpected Journey".   Both movies have amazing cinematography and the battle scenes are spectacular.  I dont know if I would call them my favorites.....but smoking a tater and laying on the couch was a nice way to spend some time this weekend.

  4. ClintEastwood @ ClintEastwood: Robert Duvall and a handful of others were a younger actors coach and always said no one worked as hard as those guys did. Robert Duvall and rest would read the full script 228 over and over, then after the last read they would go into how to perform their character. The young man had made it to meet Al who are greats and pull them to the side. And explain what his coach said. They all looked back and said out of every role you’ve seen me in. I have read it 228 by myself. 🫡 🫢 🫢 🫢
  5. ClintEastwood @ ClintEastwood: Sorry for comment below, but I couldn’t delete. Know I see the

  10. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: I always thought I should’ve been born in a much earlier time but I will say, i do enjoy my Xbox and occasional TV series tho 😂
  11. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: I just wish the opioid epidemic never happened. Fk the turn of the century (which would be cool no doubt)! Many of my friends and family would’ve ended up in asylums like so many others. I just wish I could get back all those I’ve lost since the start
  12. L @ Layne_Cobain: 1914 I meant
  13. L @ Layne_Cobain: I often wish I lived during the turn of the century or at least before the Harrison narcotics act or whatever I think it was 1924 the fun ended but anyway yeh being able to get laudanum, ❄️ and amphetamine at the local friendly pharmacy
  14. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Chew on the leaves with a bit of slaked lime and enjoy the mild boost you get from the raw base.
  15. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I’m sure you know the folks in the mountainous regions along South Americas pacific side buy cócà leaves at the local farmers market just to help acclimate to the higher elevation when they have to head up into the hills.
  16. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I would certainly have bought it, swilled it, enjoyed it…. Why not? A little boost in your juice isn’t going to hurt anyone.
  17. R @ Royboy99: Exports were reported to have around 7.2mg per FL OZ, it’s success is what actually led to Coca Cola
  18. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Having cramps and husband thinks you’re acting hysterical (ie. PMS) the doc would either perform a certain massage to relieve the strains of motherhood and family life of that time or send you down to the local apothecary for a bottle of laudanum… A tincture of alcohol and 10% òpìųm. Fun days huh?
  19. R @ Royboy99: @malestrom: yeah thats it, my bad Mariani, yeah i considered that and also its ROA, which was oral so the bioavailability was lower than insufflation, higher degree of purity tho and longer duration … there was a significant marked increase of patents filed by Edison during the time it was released in the US. Presidents were known to use it as well, and the Queen. The pope awarded the wine the Vatican gold medal award
  20. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I think it was called vin Mariani. But yeah, it was all the rave back in the turn to the 20th century. Original formula Coca Cola did it for a while too. I think it was pretty weak though. Something like 200 mg per liter of wine. Enough to maybe give you a little push but unless you could pound some serious alcohol, it’d be hard to really feel the effects before the ethyl knocked you down on the ground. It was an interesting time period. Laudanum was a “hysterical” woman’s best friend.
