Fernando

Review:

A rather up and down experience this last go round.  I'll say this though: I got exactly what I ordered and paid for - I just got it about 5 days after I should have.  It was a very big order too.  I am going to be very specific on the back and forth so you can get a true sense of what happened.  Again - bottom line: I got it and it was perfect once it arrived Quantity and quality sharp and in this game those are the keys (to me at least).  Timing and price are also very important but at the end of the day if you get what you paid for and it is good quality be happy.  Just my $0.02.

So, in anticipation of going away for a couple weeks I planned way ahead with all of my go to vendors for everything I needed.  2 of the 3 came through right on time no sweat no questions no hassle.  I contacted Fern last Wednesday (9 days ago now - 10/12) telling him what I needed, that I would be sending donation on Friday (10/14) and to please confirm availability and pricing.  He was responsive but not specific as to availability and price - basically just "I'll take care of it" which sort of could maybe be read to agree with my proposal but not really - also needed some other specifics on donation destination clarified.  In any event, he then went silent for the better part of 4 days until Monday (10/17) when I finally heard from him that his internet was down but that he now was back.  Got about 40% of my order on Wed. (10/19).  Then supposed to get the rest yesterday (10/20) but he had car trouble and could not get to the shipping post to get it out.  Finally shipped the 60% remainder yesterday and I got it this morning (10/21).

Will continue to use Fern and just understand that everyone goes through some bumps in the road.  I should also say that the prior 4 orders were more or less flawless.  So this is an outlier.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

If any members are interested, Fern is offering free shipping on next week's orders (Mon-Fri).

Thanks a lot Bella.

Hey - Regardless of the free shipping offer do you know if Fern is around right now because I am not getting responses to emails.

Anyone else having trouble?

Review time - perfection!!  Fern delivered as promised once again.  There was a slight delay in communication but the shipment had gone out anyway - I just got the TN later than usual because he had phone problems.  But I got what I ordered right on time!!

Another great transaction with Fernando.  Slight miscommunication on delivery day but it was just one day - no big deal in this case.  Fernando continues to provide excellent service, solid communication and has my favorite product that very few others seem to carry.

A++

Feel like a broken record in this forum all by myself posting A+++ reviews for my man Fernando.  He's amazingly consistent and friendly with great communication and accurate, timely delivery.  Another perfect one this morning.  Nothing else to say except that I am really surprised no one else seems to use him.  WTF??!!!  hahahaha

Seems like I am the only one using Fernando these days - not sure why by the way as he's very good.  This latest transaction was not without its issues but ultimately worked out ok.

Donation sent 12/7 and he told me ahead of time that he could ship half the next day but the other half would be the following day (Friday 12/9).  I got the first half right on time - no problem.  Then radio silence for about 5 days - no responses.  He then came back online and said it was coming following day.  2 days later I finally got it - so about a week late on the second half.  It was also a few short on the product ordered but he threw in more than enough of another solid product to make up for it which I really appreciated.  Dollar-for-dollar, the make up meds exceeded what I'd paid for which is a classy move in my book - even though I would always just prefer what I ordered.

Anyway, he's not only been pretty darn consistent, but he is extremely friendly and although you catch a few days of radio silence here and there, he has always come through.  He's never left me hanging on the 7-8 orders I've placed.

So, I really do wonder why he doesn't get more love around here.  I guess that's a good sign that we have a lot of solid options right now.

I wanted to bump Fernando's thread because he has generously become a sponsor of the forum. He's also just a really nice guy to talk to. I'm loyal to my numero uno Roberto at the moment, but since we always need to have a backup, it might be worth introducing yourself.

We really appreciate the vendors support the forum such as Roberto, Diego, and now Fernando so give them a "thank you" next time you contact one of them. And of course we appreciate all of YOU! If you are reading this then you also deserve a big THANKS ♡

Well said.  As one of Fernando's "regulars" - and recently perhaps his only one based on the absence of recent feedback - I echo @2earlscomments.  Fern is an extremely friendly and genuine guy.  I would count him among a very few vendors that I truly trust.  I don't worry that my last order will, in fact, really be my last order because he is planning some big exit strategy.  I generally use him for one harder-to-find product so there are, not surprisingly, some hangups and delays with that but he generally lets me know what is going on.  Bottom line is that he has a 100% accuracy/completion percentage.  I've never had an order that was not fulfilled exactly right - even those that were delayed (and it is not always clear why they were delayed) eventually come through and are spot on.

Latest transaction:

Order arrived late but correct product and decent communication.

Ok, I am BRAND NEW on this Board. I just made  dontion today. Fernardo sounds like the go to guy. Here's my question and, if I ask something I shouldnt, dont blast me like some people do to others on this Board, simply let me know how this works. How does one go about finding out what is available and prices and placing orders? Thanks!

  4. ClintEastwood @ ClintEastwood: Robert Duvall and a handful of others were a younger actors coach and always said no one worked as hard as those guys did. Robert Duvall and rest would read the full script 228 over and over, then after the last read they would go into how to perform their character. The young man had made it to meet Al who are greats and pull them to the side. And explain what his coach said. They all looked back and said out of every role you’ve seen me in. I have read it 228 by myself. 🫡 🫢 🫢 🫢

  13. L @ Layne_Cobain: I often wish I lived during the turn of the century or at least before the Harrison narcotics act or whatever I think it was 1924 the fun ended but anyway yeh being able to get laudanum, ❄️ and amphetamine at the local friendly pharmacy

  17. R @ Royboy99: Exports were reported to have around 7.2mg per FL OZ, it’s success is what actually led to Coca Cola
  18. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Having cramps and husband thinks you’re acting hysterical (ie. PMS) the doc would either perform a certain massage to relieve the strains of motherhood and family life of that time or send you down to the local apothecary for a bottle of laudanum… A tincture of alcohol and 10% òpìųm. Fun days huh?
  19. R @ Royboy99: @malestrom: yeah thats it, my bad Mariani, yeah i considered that and also its ROA, which was oral so the bioavailability was lower than insufflation, higher degree of purity tho and longer duration … there was a significant marked increase of patents filed by Edison during the time it was released in the US. Presidents were known to use it as well, and the Queen. The pope awarded the wine the Vatican gold medal award
  20. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I think it was called vin Mariani. But yeah, it was all the rave back in the turn to the 20th century. Original formula Coca Cola did it for a while too. I think it was pretty weak though. Something like 200 mg per liter of wine. Enough to maybe give you a little push but unless you could pound some serious alcohol, it’d be hard to really feel the effects before the ethyl knocked you down on the ground. It was an interesting time period. Laudanum was a “hysterical” woman’s best friend.
