Very hit and miss.  He'll routinely (more and more in fact) disappear for days at a time.  I don't know why but the best you can hope for is to catch him when you need him and hope the timing works out.  The good news is that he's always delivered and always been honest in every transaction.

My advice: Never count on his timing or responsiveness.  Maintain multiple reliable backups (which generally is sound advice no matter who your are using but particularly important with Fern).  He's extremely pleasant to work with and tries hard but the disappearing act was too much for me to deal with so I moved on to more reliable vendors.

@humboldtguy  Ask Fern if he could send a sample or give you free shipping with a small order.  He will definitely work with you if you aren't sure about the quality/brand.

Ok, he can be a little tricky to get a hold of. But once u make contact, F brings his A game. I've used him several times and each transaction was flawless, not to mention he is a pleasure to communicate with. Great guy; could give R. a run for best sy vendor if he was more initially responsive. Had another impeccable transaction:

Donated 7/20 in early am

Received letter 7/21 by noon. True ON.

So Fernando and I are having an issue. A package was sent and someone signed for it and took it. Signed my first initial and my last name. Funny thing is, it was supposed to be delivered on the 4th but got to the P.O. on the 3rd at noon and someone signed for it at 12:03 and I was working from 7 to 3:30 and no damn way i could have gotten it and he's basically calling me a liar so now I'm out 3 bills plus 70 extra bills for 30 Viking ships. He doesn't believe that someone stole it and now I don't know what to do. I offered to pay for shipping if he would resend  it and he never responds.  All emails that he does send are basically calling me a liar. Wtf do I do now?

There was no help for Mr. Scooter. He claimed that his order was stolen and someone forged his signature. I don't know why he would have been signing in the first place? 

Anyway since Fernando sent the order and was not at fault in any way, I don't want anything this person posted to reflect badly on Fernando. By the time I asked Fern about the situation, Ole Scooter had already been rude and disrespectful so any chance of my getting a sympathy partial reship was out the window. At this point I advised F to block the guy if he was being abusive.

After a pm explaining that I could not help because the vendor had done nothing wrong, this lovely man threatened to rat out both Fernando and DBG.

Please remember that we are all taking a risk and that if things go wrong, acting like a douchebag isn't going to help solve any problems. If anyone thinks that making threats or cursing is going to get you what you want, you are very much mistaken.

Donated last thursday for Saturday delivery.

Donation received Friday

Was made aware he couldn't come through with the Saturday delivery because of security reasons. (Totally understandable)

Received today with many extras thrown in for the delay (very appreciated fern!)

Ordered very fresh rocky Mountain blue spruce saplings 30 in. tall.

Packaging was better than any vendor I've ever used.

For those that cry and moan about delays in response and shipping please keep in mind the nature of the business and be greatful to even have such awesome vendors such as fern. Different vendors use different techniques in their businesses so you need to get use to how they operate individually. This isn't axactly walgreens people. Will use Fern again and do recommend!

Not only true ON but he is absolutely fantastic in his communication and packaging.  I'd changed some instructions about my order and not only did he remember, he emailed me an update about it after the product was sent.  A lot of vendors would have said, sorry too bad related to the request but he didn't.  You can tell he treats his customers as individuals and seems to genuinely care about making sure you're happy.  Also, super friendly and a pleasure to deal with AND is straight up.

F communicated perfectly the entire time! Great packing for a SY vendor! Slight mishap with orders, but I helped F straighten things out and he was very appreciative. Will definitely be going back to F!!!

do you have any idea what his minimum is for okcee 80. haven't heard back from him. He did tell me he doesn't do half orders.
