⚠️ FRAUD ALERT – EMAIL IMPERSONATION SCAM ⚠️

I was recently targeted by a scammer pretending to be a legitimate seller. The fake email was nearly identical to the real one — just a single letter was different.

🔎 How it worked:

  1. They offered “freebies” to gain trust (Attachment 1).
  2. They asked me to send Bitcoin to a wallet (Attachment 2).
  3. They later claimed my order was “doubled” and pressured me to send more (Attachment 3).

💸 I lost $200 before realizing what had happened.

👉 Key Warning Signs:

  • Slightly altered email address
  • Awkward grammar and spelling
  • Demands for crypto payment
  • Pressure tactics and fake “mistakes”

✅ Advice: Double-check every character in an email. Never send money by crypto to someone you’re not 100% sure about. Scammers thrive on urgency and small details that slip past us.

Stay vigilant and don’t fall for the trap.

It has come to my attention scammers are contacting members off their username here and just adding email domains. (Like Proton, gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc)

The scammers are using email addresses IDENTICAL to the real vendor's email but by 1 letter off,
mimicking other letters, using capital i's to look like small L's, etc. You need to triple check the email and at times it isn't even visible to the eye. You need to copy/paste it in txt file and search the correct email and compare with the scammers. You can also do this in most browsers (ctrl + F = search function)
The emails look alike, but upon further inspection ARE NOT.

@LW815 found a site that makes it easier to double check that the address you’re communicating with and the address posted here are the same - www.diffchecker.com - so even those that have trouble figuring out how to search a site/text document/note can easily check even the most deceitful scam addresses.

I urge all members that have the same DBG username/email to change their email address right away.
Your username at DBG and email address should not be alike at all.

The scammers see you commenting here on a vendor's thread and then take your DBG screen name and add all the email domains they can think off (Proton, gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc) and hope one works.

Below are some posts from @F33n, @Mammasboi123 and @LW815 that I put together and are solid to share. Thanks for looking out gents!

Just for safety reasons you should always keep your screen names and email names and everything separate in general.

This is how they have been operating, every member that posted they have received the scam email/been scammed has the same username here and email address, so watch out!

Be wary if a vendor emails you first!
If it’s in the same email chain I would delete it all. Make a new email address, and make sure you copy-paste the address from the first post of a vendor's thread before proceeding.

Repeated reports of users that have the same DBG username as their email address are getting scam emails, targeting specific user/author combinations because they’re actively monitoring threads.

The only way to minimize them guessing your email address is to make sure that it is COMPLETELY different from your DBG username. This should really be standard practice across all applications/sites.

You can update the email associated with you DBG account through the settings. So I would recommend anyone that has the same username and email address go create a new email now, and update it in settings. CLICK YOUR USERNAME ON TOP AND THEN ACCOUNT DETAILS.

Also new members that are joining and have the same username and email will be automatically rejected.
An email will be sent to the registered email of your DBG account explaining why.

It has happened to me many times, Groot did right by me and fixed it even though it wasn’t his fault at all . He went out of his way to help me many times. However has anyone heard from him . I reached out and placed a donation with correct opsec following his directions he received and responded. But then went silent all documents were accurate information. However my gut is telling me sois off a couple clues that I might have been scammed even though I followed protocol provided procedures. I have lost over 6026 in the last year because i was out of the scene abd rcs changed now iam bugging 𝕀𝕕𝕜 𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕕𝕠

  5. R @ Royboy99: Roughly 1g in 10-15ml of Saline
  6. R @ Royboy99: Honestly the greatest medication I’ve trialed
  7. R @ Royboy99: And it’s not like I’m geeked out crazy looking or acting , just happy, confident , loving life, productive af, greatest nootropic I’ve experienced
  8. R @ Royboy99: Man I really love these misters I make , it takes my day that’s at a 2 and cranks it up to at least a 9… with sustained reups as needed … if only this was fda approved med lol, make my life so much easier
  9. C @ ClintEastwood: Well I got burned on my first buy. It stral sucks the guy has sole things in stock. But definitely what I ordered and I thought he was honest because I asked for something very close to it and i said what about that one. Yeah I got it. And the comms were wired and he was really wanting me to make his forum board look better. Now I know the first thing to look at even before the menu. But I have some business with usps tomorrow and will ask for everything mailed to me especially packages
  10. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: Policies have changed and i would behoove everyone to due their due diligence and go have a look. The guidelines from 5-10 years ago dont apply. And rules, regulations and laws may not either, i mean do you see anyone giving 2 sh1tz about the C0n$tituti@n recently?
  11. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @rasetreydir, yeah those are good af too
  12. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @Ross7223, they should boycott pre-paid p0stage
  13. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @Gulp2788, no they do not as of sept 25, u cant assume everything is the same, or anything for that matter. Its a brave new A-1 world folks.
  14. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: My milage has differed to yours though, I've found them incredibly reliable with their tracking and 3 day delivery is pretty accurate.
  15. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: I agree but U5PS has to go through a legal process to search packages. Private companies can open your mail at their discretion.
  16. Ross7223 @ Ross7223: @Gulp2788 because they always lose pckgs, track1ng is never right, never is 3 day deliv3ry like they say
  17. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: @Ross7223 From my understanding that's actually counter-productive, but maybe you know something I don't. Why do you say that?
  18. Ross7223 @ Ross7223: Vendor$ should boycott U5P5, they are terrible!
  19. Thoth @ Thoth: Happy Weekend! Let’s Get It!!!
  20. cannedgoods @ cannedgoods: Happy Weekend everybody! cheers!
