Gabapentin and b3nz0s (cross tolerance?)

Is this a thing? Could anyone with experience tell me if there's a cross-tolerance between gabapentin and b3nz0s (like kplnz)? I've been down the b3nz0 dependence road before and would prefer not to go down it again. I use both gabapentin and kpln sparingly but I'd like to know how they interact...

 
I use both and have not noticed any cross-tolerance issues at all.   I know that gabapentin does not bind to gaba receptors like benzOs do, so it should be fine..  Coming off gabapentin was hell though and I'll never take it daily again.  I stick with twice a week, same with the alps I take..

 
It's hard to say..  To give you an idea, I was taking 400mg, 3 times daily for 4 months.  I did a very long and slow taper and still suffered.  The insomnia and anxiety were the worst.

 
Wow I need to get off the gaba then. Have you had the same experience with lyrica? I am supposed to get it whenever the insurance feels like authorizing it

 
I was on Gab@ for like 6 months 400mg a day only and it was hell coming off of.  Severe anxiety, insomnia and paranoia for months...  It took about 5 months, maybe longer to get back to normal.  I still have 100's left and won't touch them.

 
@sweetmelissa589 that's weird I had a long run with them and the withdrawal was pretty easy compared to anything else maby like 5 days of sweating irritability and restless legs after that was completely over with I guess everyone is differentm

I guess everyone is different.  When I used to go to the mth@don3 cliic, I would be so sick and could hardly even get dressed the next day to go get my other d0se.  I thought this was normal.  Then one day as I was waiting in line to d0se, I heard someone say that they forgot to take their  d0se yesterday.   I couldn'e believe it, because the day I took my d0se, I would start to feel bad around 6:00pm. with yawning and goosebumps, skin scrawling and couldn't sleep at all,  so I was amazed to see this girl forgot to even take hers...lol.  Anyway,  I just couldn't handle being sick everyday and switched to subs, which are great because I can d0se as needed.  I hate them though.  I have been on them for 4 years and now I have anhedonia.  I get no pleasure out of anything and am trying to taper off of them.  I have turned to rc b3nz0s to help me taper, but I think I'm making the problem worse, as I'm an @ddicit and now I have 2 @dicitions..    Anyway.. sorry for the long sorry..lol.. 

 
They have ZERO cross Tolerance... they even use G@BAPentin in B3nzodi@zepine Withdrawal due to this fact and same with Baclofen since it only affects G@BA-B and not the G@BA-A Sub Units that B3nz0s affect. I use GABAPentin for sleep with Baclofen everynight because my Daily use of B3nz0s only allows Me to use it once a week at a higher D0se for effects. When I do get effects the next Day I can feel my Tolerance rise so rapidly that I feel less than 50% of the effects the D@y before but the problem is the only way to lower B3nz0 Tolerance is to use less of them D@ily and for a LONG time like I said only once a week I use a higher D0se and it only has a better effect for one single D@y 2 at most and at higher D0ses.

L @ Layne_Cobain: @maoi nah no fear of needles and if it made me feel a lot better no fear of being on it long term as who knows if my t will even rebound after 5 years on methadone not sure if that’s the norm I hope so…the more I research the more it seems like the best choice is to just go for it with TrT rather than trying to “middle” with Enclomiphene especially now that i know it probably won’t work being on methadone altho I am tapering off 5 mg biweekly so that’ll take a while I’m at 95 now from 120
  17. moai @ moai: @Layne_Cobain the longer you’re on it without using HCG sometimes, (meaning years) the harder it will be to rebound if you do come off. But I’m with you, at only 22, I’ve abused myself to the point I may NEED trt. Not to mention all of the benefits
  18. moai @ moai: @Layne_Cobain You don’t seem it, but if you are the type that’s afraid of needles for life, don’t sweat it. I’m natty atm, but from what I hear A) you won’t want to come off and B) if you implement HCG every once in a while to your protocol, you have a better chance of being able to come off T completely and restore all (or most) of your natty production. Of course, no guarantees and it is dependent on the individual, genetics, compounds and duration of exposure, etc.

Cause after further research I don’t think it’ll even work while still on methadone…I think trt with hcg to preserve fertility and ball size is the way to go for me. I just wanna feel better. Thanks for your input on the matter btw
