Hello,

To make a long story short, I've had a chronic disease for over ten years now. Been there done that with every facet of pain management and our wonderful health care industry. PT, injections, surgery, etc. I've been taken for a ride by some of these doctors. I'm sure some of you have similar stories.

The only thing that seems to help and live a somewhat normal life is Opie eight medication. It's indeed a slippery slope as those who take it know. Years ago I made that choice... it was either that or continue each day getting a little bit closer to not wanting to live anymore due to the amount of pain I go through. I chose my path and, for me, it was my only option. On the good days at least, I am thankful that I can put on a smile (of the genuine type) for my kids.

Anyway, I've seen the ups and downs of the online scene (here we go again it seems). It's been a few years since I've been active in the community or even lurked. Times have been good until recently... I don't want to lose contact with the community again.

Hope you all are well. I for one am not.

Welcome, Fiend. We have a great community here. Read read read and then read some more. We welcome those who seek to protect this place as much as we do. There's a gold mine of info if you just take the time to read. Enjoy your stay!

Thanks Maybesomeday,

I am sort of an oldtimer so I hope I can give advice where needed. Been around a long time... anyone remember NWW? YPM? YOD? Or even further back... buymeds?

Going through a tough time for the first time in 3 years.

I am a pain management advocate in the true sense of the word. The one thing that remains constant in public debate is the labeling of people who need medication to get through their day as junkies by those who a) have not been in any true pain in their life let alone constant, daily pain and /default_cool.png would control every facet of your life if given the chance. We live in a country where doctors are now fearful to prescribe enough medication to truly treat those who need it and its a travesty. It's a true shame.

It's only a matter of time now before everything is sched 2. I'm just waiting for the powers that be to take away cray Tom. Either big pharm is going to take control of it or kill it. When that happens there are a lot of people that are going to be in trouble. It's a miracle for people wanting off the train or those who are in a tough spot.

Sometimes it feels like those in charge could care less if pain patients end up dead from copping on the streets.

Maybesomeday, I pray for that day.  I too feel like each day is slipping away and soon I will not have the strength to continue.  I have not tried cray Tom yet but since it is getting harder and harder to find the meds you need to get through the day I might give it a try.

Flower, I am sympathetic to your situation and share some similar poking and prodding with little to no relief.  There is light at the end of the tunnel, and you have found it.  I know at times it is difficult to keep your chin up, but all of us at DBG wish you well.  Welcome aboard.

Jmorgan, thank you so much for your response, it was truly heartfelt and made me smile. Not sure why today seems so tough as usually Mondays are worse but my dog has been sick and I guess I am feeling sorry for myself. I am very happy that I found this place as I really feel that everyone has genuine compassion for eachother. Again, thanks for you reply, I will keep your thoughts with me today.bbc.co

We definitely have an awesome group if members here. They're like extended family. It's always a joy to talk to ppl here - so much to learn and not just about PM. Truly enjoyable around here.

Kind words flower thank you.  The rest of the week should only prove to get better.  Enjoy!

Hey flower,

cra Tom is definitely worth a try. It has been a life saver for me when going through tough times. If you have any questions please ask. There are some other threads floating around as well. A lot of knowledgeable people here it seems. Hoping this board will prove to be a panacea. I had someone with compassion enough to help me a few years ago on another popular board but due to recent events, I am up the creek so to speak.

Flower,

cray tom has changed my life. Daily user for nearly a year. Got me through my sudden loss of hiedrows. I will search the site for a thread. If none exist I will definitely start one. I know cray is on the govs C.O.C. list (in the you ess anyway) and it would be an absolute shame to see it go. I personally have helped 3 people kick pretty heavy opie habits with cray. Its benefits are grossly overlooked by those in charge. Sad really. Anyway, welcome. Good luck!

More at stake than getting bad info or scammed, there’s predators out there looking for bigger fish and will step on a guppy to get to them. Fishing expeditions aren’t just for private citizens enjoying a calm weekend exploring the lake for a fish hookup. Offish of offishial fishing investigations may be looking for the best fishing hole and scare off the big
