That's a tough diagnosis, hope you are coping with it reasonably well.  I've had it and it was no bueno. Hope you will find some help here.

How long did it take you to get it under control?

I think it was a couple months. Had to get IV antibiotics in the hospital, then they removed my messed up gall bladder and everything else cleared up after that. I do remember them telling me how serious pancreatitis is, so I hope you are getting the best care.
