But come to think of it, I think there may be 2 Lefthand turns actually!

You're quite right about that. It's only a matter of time.

I must admit I have not only hit the sidewalk and took out a few people, I once crashed into the DBG front lobby. Broke the piano and the crystal chandelier fell on me.

Yah, I can clearly remember that unfortunate day in the second week of July 2011 last year. The weather was slightly overcast, but the sun was about to shine through the clouds. When all of a sudden, like a bat out of hell, a rusty old Fold Pinto comes screaming through the front lobby of the former DBG Guest House. All of a sudden, myself and four other DGB members had to jump FOR OUR LIVES into the salad bar to escape from this "junk ass missile" which just shot through our doors.

The next thing we know, this man/woman causally get's out of this Pinto and acts like nothings gone wrong. Low and behold, she begins to dance around the car as if she's possessed by some skanky old spirit. We all watch this spectacle in total disbelief, not knowing if what we're seeing is actually real or we've just took a bad hit of acid - possibly spiked into the fruit punch we were all drinking ealier.

Not only did Sis' Troub break a $10,000 chandelier, but she also caused our insurance rates to increase two fold due to the massive amounts of external damages to the building and the mental trauma suffered by the members (who subsequently sued DBG for PTSD).

Truthfully, I'm surprised/ bewildered why you had the balls (sorry @#@$!) to even consider bringing this past incident back into the public limelight, considering it hasn't been mentioned for months I think most old members had put it aside, and none of the new members knew anything about it. I'd say it was pretty well forgotten, until now that is.

I don't know what else to say. Other than, why?

so sorry to hear about this misfortune incident. yeah, you are right. If it hadn't been brought up, many including myself wouldn't know anything about it. I truly feel for those emotionally damaged by the incident. I am pleased that i didn't hear about some major injury. Very lucky that all of you were able to jump out of the way! If we have any stone masons on this board, maybe we can have some pillars built out front to keep something like this from happening again!

got any of that punch left?

  9. Alkazar @ Alkazar: Technically they were forced back to work the last time they went on strike in 2024, so this is the same strike for the same reasons in 2025.
  10. Alkazar @ Alkazar: I dont know how to direct reply to people on here. But the Canada Post strike will affect any mail coming from the US. It will be held at a facility until the striek is over. Mail that is being sent from CAD to the US will just not be picked up. It all has to be private delivery services now.

  15. xenxra @ xenxra: @LW815 from my experience, CP strikes usually tend to leave the snails alone

  18. LW815 @ LW815: @Alkazar would that effect snail mail arriving to the US from CA in any impactful way?
