Hi everyone,

I'm a pain management patient who has been scammed before, and as being stuck in-between my specialist's recommendations and my gp being difficult I really need to find sources I can trust. So I am looking forward to exploring and meeting you all!

2mp ?

Hi there @2muchpain. Welcome. There are lots of people just like you here. I'm one of them. I have a blog here, if you're curious.

My best suggestion is to check out the rules and info for new members, so you don't get in trouble before you have a chance to look around. If you can, a small donation will open up the sections you may be interested in. Be careful and don't ask anyone for sources. It's against the rules and is usually how folks lose their money. Everything you need is already listed. The search works well, once you figure out how to spell what you're looking for. You will see what I mean when you start reading.

There are some good folks here who can empathize with you. Lots of fun stuff, like the five letter game.

@2earls or @PTFC. They are mods and can help. If you can't message yet, just type their names with the @ in front and a drop down will show up. Just click on the name in the list.

Thank you ever so much AngryBird, I will definitely have a look at your blog, and I have just made a donation :D !

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to update here that I'm from the UK and that it is so hard to get reputable sources here and that before joining I was getting very depressed with the pain feeling like I wouldn't get any help. I also have PTSD, as well as fibromyalgia, after being stalked by a psychopath a while ago and am still waiting for proper treatment. This site has been a massive light and the end of a tunnel for me and I thank you all masses. :780_sparkling_heart: :784_peace:

Hi, I'm new here myself. Like you, I also have ptsd so u are in good company. I have a lot of pain from injuries sustained while serving. The best recommendation that I can make is research and read, read, read. When I first joined I was kinda getting a tad frustrated which was my fault. You cant just read for an hour or two. You really have to put in the work. I am getting around the site much better and Ive learned so much. The moderators really seem to be on point. Making a donation will open up more threads and will help you find what you are looking for :)

Great advice @deetledee, and everyone else! Welcome @2muchpain!

Thank you so much for your advice, everyone has been so helpful and you were totally right and I thinking I have found what I am looking for after some serious reading and some emailing. I will report back in the relevant threads ?. I am so sorry you have ptsd too, it really sucks, I was stalked by a next door neighbour who I had never met before. I can't imagine what you must have been through in service though. I really hope that you manage to get some help and feel better soon. ❤ .

@2muchpain welcome to the board. I am in a similar situation as you described with my gp. I am from America but the stories are the same wherever your from. Make sure you read the pinned posts and rules. The info you seek is here. You just need to read through the threads. Look foward to seeing you on the board

@humboldtguy

Thank you so much for your warm welcome! I'm so sorry to hear that you are having similar problems as me. It is so difficult when my pain gets worse and I need my dose upping (I have a lot of nerve problems and an incision hernia after an operation gone wrong as well as the fibromyalgia and PTSD, I normally get 6 monthly epidural injections to numb the area but the last one failed and my pain levels are crazy making at the moment) as my GP can not up my meds without the say so of my pain management specialist, however it takes months to get an appointment with my specialist.

Luckily I have found this site now and have already been successful in getting some help, before I was hanging on by a thread and genuinely don't know if that would have made it to today alive otherwise. That is why I am so grateful to everyone on this site. I am currently on a big waiting list to get further help with my PTSD also and think this site will be the answer to coping until then.

It is so sad that there are so many people in our situation world wide.

Thank you again, and to everyone here.

Much love

2mp

  1. xenxra @ xenxra: @WTF7218 it may as well be that way with how little effort some of the people on here make to find information that's exactly where you would expect it to be.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  4. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  5. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  6. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
