I've had a certain email account since the start of Hotmail.com, and this is the first time this situation has ever happened. It doesn't matter what computer, phone, tablet I'm using, nor does it matter where or what country I'm signing in from (as I tried using a proxy server to test that out), EVERY single email I try to send, to ANY kind of email address, immediately bounces back to me with the message:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed.

*****With the person's email address below*******

Now I know EVERYBODY in the world has NOT blocked me, nor have I ever spammed anybody. I went the extra step to verify my account with a phone number and I've tried all the "tips" people have suggested on the Microsoft Help Forums, but NOTHING seems to work.

No problems receiving emails from that account. And no problems both receiving and sending using other email server accounts - like Yahoo, Google, etc.

I wonder if the "powers to be" have got so much extra time on their hands and nothing better to do than go through the databases and screw-up user's accounts which have been involved in the occasional purchasing of prescription meds from time to time? I'm thinking that's probably what might have happened either on my end, or on some other companies end which has been investigated by the "ever-so-growing" cyber police.

Other than "You should have used a different email sever, Hotmail sucks, etc" does anybody have suggestions on what could be done to restore my account back to normal?  Perhaps it's just something technical which involves changing the POP server, or deleting something, or a reset button /default_smile.png

Just to follow up, no my email address hasn't been circulating on Topix or other "hot spots" of trouble. As was the case with my Hushmail account which suddenly became dead, as I was no longer permitted to sign into it. Quite sure that was due to my one and only post on that cesspool of sites Topix, about 5 years back.

Thanks johnno for at least making the effort to help. Much appreciated.

Turns out, the trouble all started when I tried to have Gmail automatically forwarded (by default) into my Hotmail account. However I didn't do it correctly, thus causing Hotmail to have the problems.

Now, though, everything is OK and both accounts are linked successfully together.

Sad thing is, for the past few days, I changed 99% of the websites (banks,, stores, etc) I belong to send and accept emails to and from my Gmail account and no longer Hotmail, as I honestly thought my Hotmail account was doomed. (Tell's ya about my positive 'Outlook' on life these days, no pun intended)

Anyways, I'm happy to have the HOTMAIL account working again as I much prefer the layout, attaching things, and the simplicity of Hotmail over Gmail.

that gmail is good at causing problems i got told, skoogle is constantly trying to get me to sign up for it and give them my phone number,as if i would give my number to those nosey fuckers, glad you got it sorted now slammer, just a pain having to go to all those sites and change back your contact addy to shushmail.

all this digital stuff can be a pain at times, and they said computers would make life a whole lot easier...doh!
No doubt it was Google's attempt to screw-up my Hotmail and have me completely switch over to them due to giving up trying to fix the problem. As it all stemmed from an email I received from Google explaining how to link it to my other accounts. In hindsight, I wish I had deleted that junk-ass piece of mail. Spent dam near 36 hours straight trying every tip on the net with the hopes of fixing the problem.

I have various emails but try to stick with Safemail. In fact I think I might delete all ny messages in my email accounts and close them all out and start over fresh.

Learnt to do this after having hush email closed down, along with a lot of other folk.
Very smart idea. Good for you and good for the vendor.

Kudos to you....

Shit, the last time I had a hotmail account, I think it was attached to Windows 98!

Win 98 was a decent OS back in the day, but manually having to reload drivers after a reinstall was a huge pain in the Arse!

Fortunately, I'm pretty tech savvy, and figured it out...Glad those days are over... /default_rolleyes.gif

Yeah, I don't think anything is safe from "spying eyes" these days on the internet.

It's a hackers paradise out there!!

I would think that the most widely used email service would be least monitored due to the sheer volume of emails. On the other hand, the email services such as Hushmail and Safemail, etc would be the MOST monitored as generally speak one does need to send encrypted mails to friends and family when discussing things such as their new pet or family vacation.

If I was FBI, DEA or LE in general, i would zero in on those encrypted/secretive sites mostly used by people with info to hide, not Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail.

No?

  3. B @ bigblueallda: @drjimmy1964 lol I am actually surprised it is a real ID. I needed those documents because my license had been expired for over a year and I had to start all over. Nothing was in the system. It was a huge mess. I had no clue I was signing up for Real ID. They asked me for the exact same documents that I needed for a State ID Card.
  4. S @ soupson: bless your heart buddy. no sense of grammar or proper insults/jokes. you need this place in ways i can’t comprehend
  5. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: Sweet Ol' Me asked about Real ID, Stoup. Are you responsive to emails ? LMAO

  7. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @bigblueallda You win. I am lost. Thought you were surprised your license was a Real ID, now you say you provided those items.
  8. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @bigblueallda I was under the impression that you'd need all of the points to get a real ID . I'd check it's validity if you're gonna fly domestic any time soon, just to make sure. Not to tell you what to do, sorry -
  9. B @ bigblueallda: @drjimmy1964 In my state to get a Real ID, I need SS card, Birth Certificate and two proofs of residency. Which I am positive I had to provide to get a new ID when it had been expired.
  10. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @Turbo259 advertising - putting in writing for example an negative action to show they are guilty prior to taking action.
  11. B @ bigblueallda: I haven't flown in an airplane in 20 years lol. Can't recall the last government building I have been in either. According to the symbol it tells me I should have on my ID to make it a Real ID I do have one in my state

  14. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @bigblueallda are you sure you have a Real ID ? I mean , they really want 6 points of proof and 1 for your addy and 1 for your SSN. Did you maybe get it done and forgot and flew out of the country or something ?
  15. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @bigblueallda are you sure you have a Real ID ? I mean , they really want 6 points of proof and 1 for your addy and 1 for your SSN. Did you maybe get it done and forgot and flew out of the country or something ?
  16. S @ soupson: did anyone ask about real id or is sweet ol jimmy just rambling
  17. T @ Turbo259: @drjimmy1964 what did you mean by advertise? not gettin the verbiage, DM works if anything, just didnt understand
  18. B @ bigblueallda: {Visit your local Driver Service Bureau with the necessary documents: original birth certificate, Social Security card, and two proofs of your state's residency. } I definitely provided this when I had to get a new ID when i let mine go expired too long maybe I unknowingly got one but I think it is pretty standard here.
  19. B @ bigblueallda: Well it was a state id renewal. Before that there was a mixup and I had lost my birth certficate and social security number. After a couple of weeks and finally getting several documents in order I was able to get a state ID. It had been expired previously for a little too long and they wanted all kinds of proof. It was a mess. But nah I looked up what to look for an my state's ID to see if it is a Real Id or not and my card as the symbol it is supposed to have. I'll take a closer look though
