Best advice I can give is this. Most customers here have been ripped off at least once. The key to avoiding it is doing your due diligence. After being burned a few times, I realized spending more time researching helped me avoid scams. I also discovered I could become a paid sponsor for around $30, which saved me tons of time and advanced me much faster. For just $25–$30, I could find trusted vendors in one hour instead of spending 12 hours researching. Is your time worth more than $2-$3 an hour? Plus, you get to join a great community and make kick ass internet friends!

How did you even make it this far? 
Click on the very first thread in the forum, the “welcome..” one, then you should see a thread that says something like “how to donate to the forum”. You just follow the directions from there. It’s really not rocket appliances. Once you get it figured out and become a member you won’t have a problem finding out who’s legitimate. Not only will you be capable of judging vendors better, but you’ll have great fun just chilling out flipping pages, learning, laughing and sometimes even salivating over menus you can’t afford. Please just read up on things. The people here are super nice but damn it’s easy to get tired of the same ole questions that could be answered if the user just put in a little bit of effort. I mean, it’s $30. That’s far below almost everyone’s minimum order amount. Hell, I get more of a buzz off reading some of this stuff that I did from some magazines that one particular vendor sold me!

- M @ Mammasboi123: Also, keep in mind that if a thread topic doesn’t already exist for a particular mag after searching for it, for a particular msg you’ve got questions on, you can always open a new thread under the appropriate section to get member feedback. I only mention doing it this other way due to there being a rule against members/vendors advertising or soliciting mags via the Shout Box. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets removed at some point.
