Is There Any Good Ones Other Than Soma

I don't like MRs (well, unless you count v@l as a MR). But I do have non-related stomach issues. Perhaps you've confused me with someone else.
Heisenberg, you are too unique to be confused with anyone else /default_smile.png.
My questions was just in general, I just happened to include your name because I saw the recent post but I didn't know you had other stomach issues.

Sorry to hear that and hopefully there are things you can do to that will help.

Like you said for you, the V don't cause issues for me either but they don't seem to help my back as much as the other MR things.

Flower, Thanks for the tip on the Sierra mist, I will get some of that for when I do take any MRs in the future.

I was drinking ginger ale last time I took MRs and it does help, but for me it seems the MRs build up in my system and every few days it makes me sick briefly. Once I throw up and the chills and dripping sweat have stopped after 10 minutes, I feel ok again.

Also, I was drinking a lot of non caffeinated drinks each day when taking MRs in hopes of using water/liquid to flush the MRs from my system thinking that would help, and it probably did but not totally.

It might just be me and others don't react like this, I'm curious about that too.

SJ, with so many options for MRs, there has to be one that works better for you.  Before my MD retired last year, he was always handing out bags of samples for muscle relaxers.  I have yet to try all of them, but I can easily count at least 7 different brands. Hopefully, someone on this board will be of some help for you. Good luck!

SJ sneazle beast,

How are you my sweet 'bean'?

I too, have a weak tummy, I am the queen of queasy.

I spent my entire pregnancy looking for the holy grail of nausea relief. 10 straight months, gave me ample time to search.

Still today, if something has the potential to cause stomach upsets or nausea, I know they're talking to me.

Coca Cola, saltines, bananas (if you can stomach the texture) and damp, hot packs for your eyes, have been helpful for this girl.

I also always carry NAUZENE, Cherry flavored chewable tablets. They are mild enough for children, but effective when prevention methods fail.

They are found at most pharmacies.

Good luck,

B

Sup Smokey,

I used to have I have all sorts of stomach issues- acid, cramping, pain. Every food would upset my stomach.

Back when I had a bit more of a permanent neurosis I had constant nausea. For that, and for acid reflux, I took, and still take Ranitidine. The nausea was anxiety related and after I took the Ranitidine for a month solidly that problem went away. Pepto, the actual brand name stuff helps when the pills don't. I also found nexium helped a little too, but it is expensive, and compared to Ranitidine, which is available w/o a script at target for $4, I find it's not worth it.

Now though I have mostly digestive issues to prolonged use of PKs. I never really ever had a problem with MR related to the stomach, etc. Baclofen, flexirl and xanafel all make me very sleepy though, even after prolonged usage. Plus, they are all worthless compared to $oma.

Thanks for the good advice, I may try some other things but I want to stay away from the more powerful ones since the ones I mentioned work for me.

Interesting comment about being stress or anxiet related, I was a stress case when I was last taking MRs.

The thing about me getting sick on the MR is that it comes on quickly usually while I am asleep. I never felt sick when awake and on the MR.

I would wake up in the middle of sleeping and feel odd and then realize I was about to throw up, as happens when you get sick sometimes.

I'll look at the other equivalent options and see what's available and do some testing.

Wow, so you get seriously ill. All my issues were food related. I used to vomit and have pain, this was before I hit the SSRIs hard and got rid of the anxiety, but I've never had anything like you're having due to med consumption. Just acid reflux.

Does it happen with all MR? Obviously you've considered the possibility of an allergy, but that wouldn't explain feeling ill when changing drugs types, unless your allergic to all MR just by coincidence (very unlikely). It sounds like it may be worth a mention at the next doc visit. Having another physically painful issue to deal with is exactly what all of us here do not need. Hope you feel better man.

BigTime I sent u a pm. I will be getting some pro sewmah on weds and wil let u know my thoughts. Glad wallace back in stock (supposedly) at sds.

All natural Ginger capsules are the best non drug option for nausea. They work every time and often better than prescription anti nausea meds like Zofran. Safe for pregnant women too.

i like flexeril, it makes me feel comfy and allows me to stretch my muscles out allowing me to crack those bones when stretching, if taken with vic's  i feel even more awesomer,, i normally dont mix mr and pk togather, but due to these migraines i been having to gawd knows what the f reason at this time this only thing working for my brain

I take zanaflex.  The generic name is trizanidrine or something like that. I take it 20 min b4 bed and sometimes in the wee morning hours if I am off the next day.

It takes the edge of roxy before sleep. I don't take it oo close to anything other than tramadol. I am prescribed it for muscle spasams and fibro. It helps using it each night. Over time my legs have become way less pain ful same with my neck.

The times I stopped for weeks at a time I would notice twitches in my lower back and neck. Fatigue and increased pain in upper thighs.

So it does help. For years I wouldnt touch a muscle relaxer. The few I had would just make me pass out. Skelakton left me hazy. I also have a spa and a Tempurpedic bed. ( the retail store I sell in enables me deep discounts!) on a super great evening it's roxy early after work, spa after dog walk and muscle relaxer b4 Tempurpedic. Then I sleep into noon the next day!

Couldnt do that when my son was little!  I don't know how I even managed!

Does anyone know where to get Methocarbamol/Robaxin online safely?

I used to live in Canada and wish I had brought down more with me..It sucks that just across the border I could buy it at the counter with no one knowing my name but here in the States I have to wait for a doctor's appointment, pay co-pays, have it regulated how many I can take, etc. etc.

I had bought it online a while back, circa 2008 or so, but who knows if it's still possible..

My SWIM tells me it's SOMA hands down over valium or anything else you can get as a muscle relaxor.  He describes it as Qualudes, but only a bit milder and of shorter duration.

He say P@1n-0-S0m@ is the best generic version available from off shore.  He claims you can pick them up a 500mg tablet for about 50 cents each, if you don't get in a hurry.

Yes you can get these online.  Like @FancyPants said, you can get these over the counter in some countries.  India is one of those sountries.

Skinny

Just had a severe wreck:

I have Zipsor 100mg / x2 a day it feels like soma (US ER)

The generic is Diclofenacpot

I was told NO DRINKING ANY AMOUNT OF LIQUOR =  death or severe issues

But was given valium also for muscle relaxer

If you look at soma replacement or simillar compound check: pregabalin, gabapentin, phenibut and baclofen.

There is also tetrazepam belongs to benzodizepine family used mainly for muscle relaxation - I did not check this one but I'm curious this substance.

Clonazepams have some relaxing effects. I’m prescribed 120 flexeril a month and they just wipe me out and leave me groggy. Much prefer benzos or soma.

Ooooh somas....lol

Back in the day before you needed a passprt to go down south, we would bring back hundreds of these for like $20/80pills

I knew a guy that would CHEW a handful of these...makes me sick still, thinking about it lol

For me I find they work best if you take a break between doses. If I take 3 at once, best to wait hours as for me it doesn' do anything to redose too soon.

I prefer flexeril, i notice when i do my stretchs i get more of flex and feel the tension ease in the musle and i love it when i get my leg over to one side and hear the knots in my back pop

they come in 5mg and 10mg , also it kinda like SSRI , cant described to must BLAH BLAH, but google it, it may help with your muscle tension, i use it when my sciatic nerve flares up!

SOm@ has been hands down the best muscle relaxer that I have used. I previously was prescribed it but then I had to change docs and they put me on baclofen and tramm@dol instead. This is confusing as tramm@dol is much more dangerous than som@.

I'm new to this site and am currently reading through all the new users rules and stuff but am hoping to eventually find a source that sells them when the time comes.

  1. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  4. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  5. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  6. aBBazaBBa123 @ aBBazaBBa123: @rockychoc How do I contact you?
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
