Ah yes, common theme here on DBG. Add a new vendor, let them offer free samples, send a few samples out to get some business, then turn on everyone. Gotta be a way to prevent this.

Yeah he offered me a sample but never sent shit. I really don't know how many samples he actually even sent out if any? I think one guy said he got a sample but he never said what it was or how it was.

I gotta disagree with you there. Isn't the point of sending free samples to get a review and an idea of the quality of the magazine and which magazine? So people that donate in the future can decide for themselves based on these reviews?

I can tell you all that the vendor had what you wanted. I know who supplied him. That’s a whole other issue, which I can’t talk about.
So, he was vetted and he had supplies. Why he didn’t send to most of you is unknown. Maybe he wasn’t ready. Maybe other things happened. But, he had what you donated for.

Admin can’t make the vendor do his job. The vendor had an excellent source that he burned.

I am only writing this here because a member has continually scolded me about letting members get scammed by this vendor. I am sorry to all of you, but no one here could have predicted these outcomes.

The only advice would be to stick with tried and true vendors who have been here and proven themselves. We have many,

Thank you for saying this, I was going crazy because I thought I was pretty good at feeling people out, and i really thought he was going to send it, i wouldn't have even bothered him until after he disappeared, but he messaged me almost daily starting on the first day to say he's gonna send it tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. ive never lost $ like this before but i feel like scammers usually don't contact you after they have your $, you got to chase them. But whatever, he must need it more then I do I guess. maybe in like 6 months itll appear in my mail box

Time to move this one to the blacklist.

May this be a reminder to practice caution with new vendors.
If they send samples, wait for touch downs and reviews from established members.
Avoid placing big orders at first, wait for more solid reviews to come in.

In this game there are no guarantees. We can vet vendors and they can send samples to the staff, they can send photo's of their stock, etc. But if their mind is set for a quick sc@m, they can and will surely do so.
It is tragic that one bad apple, can spoil everything.

There is always a risk when purchasing, agree with @Gracie5 to stick with the long time tried and tested DBG vendor's if you feel something is off. Trust your instincts and follow your intuition.
Listen to your inner voice and always, but always pay attention read the recent reviews.

I almost used myself, but his email didn’t work. I guess it was a blessing in disguise. He really seemed legit until he didn’t.
If you need help with finding the right vendor, I can try to help. I have a pretty basic idea of menus and ship methods/time.

Just an update, I also had a label created way back and nothing else. After this last message promising to add extras for the delay, radio silence. Luckily he didn't break opsec for me like others what the actual fuck??

Fuck this guy. Lesson learned for letting his initial friendliness win me over
