From what I'm told, Hooter's, um, well, a real "force of nature", so to speak, so no packaging was necessary. From the feedback I've received from the vendor, it was a "direct end to end submission", shall we say. Had anyone been standing in the way within a mile or so, they'd likely have lost an eye! /default_laugh.png

Yes, let's all please NOT ruin the hard work that was done to solidify this. Patience has always been the key with this scene. I emailed once and will not email again until I get a reply.

Nice catch on your edit, but unfortunately, I and the rest of the board still receive email alerts of original posts. As a result of "the cow having left the barn", I felt it appropriate to reply to your remarks. I can assure you that this vendor is MORE than "legit", as I have personally conducted business with them for more than a decade. I was also VERY clear in my introductory post that they are NOT a price point vendor, and in fact, that they were more expensive than Mexican vendors on some products, so I would recommend that you "not bother" with them, to borrow your words. It took literally months of effort to get this provider to agree to join DBG, and I'm now seeing posts like yours as well as receiving complaints from their patient care team regarding bizarre and inappropriate email messages, which I will expound upon in another post. Before posting comments such as these in the future, I would recommend reading the entire introductory post, and as far anyone having received from them yet, outside of myself and Heisenberg, who posted his experiences with Midtown, no, I'm sure no one has, as they just re-opened following a holiday shut down, and given that they were just introduced to DBG one week ago.

Again, please do not bother wasting your time with this vendor, and good luck in your endeavors.

 
MODERATOR UPDATE

As alluded to in my previous post, I am already receiving negative feedback from Midtown's patient care team regarding a number of bizarre, inappropriate and unprofessional emails that are coming from members of DBG, of which is shown below, although I will not post the members name, as it would violate Midtown's privacy policy to divulge even a potential customer communication publicly:

"WhaT is for hash and weed. I have the price of the gramps and Ets be real. Some one else chime in"

I have no idea what this even means, and this is the most benign of the half dozen messages they forwarded me for review. I chose this one because it was the only one that didn't contain profanity. I don't know how old some of you people are, or what's wrong with a number of you, but to send profanity laced tirades complaining about a vendor's pricing on certain products, and about "needing" products immediately that are clearly noted as being out of stock on their menu and making harassing, sexist remarks to their patient care staff as a result, will simply not fly with either this vendor, nor myself. This will stop, and it will stop immediately, or I will cease all efforts to bring new vendors to DBG, period. Further, in light of this problem, Midtown will be moved to the VIP section this weekend. While any non-VIP members who were issued a menu will be considered as customers, and who's requests for service will be honored, so long as they are made in a professional, dignified manner, once this thread is moved to the VIP section, no further menus will be issued to non-VIP members. And please, do not attempt to share menus already obtained with other non-VIP members after this thread is moved, as ALL new menu requests after that date will be vetted by the vendor and run by me for confirmation of VIP status before any response will be issued.

Nice work folks, it only took 8 days for a handful of you to drive away one of the industry's very best private vendors. I'm quite frankly surprised they were willing to remain as a VIP vendor, and I'm embarrassed and ashamed of my judgement in trusting that our general membership could conduct themselves in the manner in which this vendor is accustomed to. Rest assured that it will not happen again.

I indicated that the "bizarre emails" would be addressed in a subsequent post, which they were, and do not involve you. I'm also not being hostile, but yes, both Heisenberg and I did indeed post about our experience with them, so the statement that no one has received from them and posted regarding same is incorrect. As for the tone of my message, what upsets me is that, as stated, your original post (despite being edited) still is sent out publicly via email alerts, and having read your comments, it's obvious that you did not read the introductory post. Further, I've known this vendor and its owner for many, many years, and value my reputation with them, so I take exception to complaints being posted regarding things like price point that were fully disclosed from the beginning. I also take exception to a public statement questioning any vendor's legitimacy after they have been vetted by Admin, Heisenberg and I. If you don't want to order from a vendor until you see feedback from other members having received, I can certainly respect and understand that, but to imply that a vendor might not be "legit" after one week on the board is insulting to Admin, Heisenberg and I, in my personal opinion anyway. It's a non-issue, as they will become a VIP only vendor going forward.

Seriously?  How difficult is it to send an e-mail to someone, asking questions, using real words, no profanity, and a little respect?  Honestly, people?  We are all human beings and should treat others just the same - what makes you think that you can say sexist remarks to someone that you do not even know - someone that is doing their job, which is customer service - to you!  From what I have seen, they provide some pretty stellar customer service.  But no, people have to go and demand products 'right away' - as if these people are their bitches...they aren't.  We were lucky to have this opportunity.  Were.

Honestly, I only have myself to blame. Heisenberg recommended that I introduce this vendor as VIP only from the first time we discussed it, but no, my misguided sense of altruism prevailed in an attempt to help everyone. The next time you hear me contemplating such a thing, please, slap the shit out of me. /default_huh.png

Well DZ, actually, the VIP is like Fight Club, so we don't talk about VIP, LOL. Unfortunately, I couldn't think of way NOT to mention it, given the circumstances and context of the post. All it is is an area of the board accessible only to those with a certain number of posts.

You very well may be right sir. It matters not, however. They don't need the business, and never did. They've done quite well for 15 years without a presence on ANY board, and I know they'll be just fine in the future.

I'm sure you're right. But it still upsets me that we have people here who would act in such a manner. We should all be embarrassed. I'm sure you know who they are, also. Is Admin unwilling to take action because it happened off the board? I personally think it's relevant as we should have all been vetted in order to get a menu. Right?

given the history of these type of boards and the fact i have no idea who you or anyone else is on here i think its not

odd to question things. this thread is 7 pgs with no one except mods reporting anything. That seems weird to me,esp with the SY network falling apart.

Their whole ordering system is fairly different to other vendors, which gave me a bit of pause. I have been ripped off for a few grand by SY guys in the past.

Things are changing rapidly in the 'scene here and on the dark net and i am more than a little paranoid about it.

you can ask HM about me, i am not a email box exploder or panicky pete. i do what i say im gonna when i say im gonna and if the shipper needs time i always give them the time they need assuming its communicated. I am just trying to find a new reliable source like anyone else. I am also interested in possibly becoming a vendor or sub vendor on here for certain meds that no one seems to be offering

anyway like i said, sorry, i will prob order a test order and like i did with HM & others will put an honest report about my experiences

Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
