I debated whether or not to post on this thread as I have had a close-ish relationship with this person over the past 2 or so years. I also don't want to cross any lines or break any forum rules, nor do I have any bad blood with them personally. Let's just say, my understanding is, Loki is going through plenty of their own issues and to me it makes total sense that perhaps (my theory) they got in over their head while trying to manage a life that seemed wholly unmanageable whilst also selling magazine subscriptions.

I am going to leave it there. No, I do not know where this person resides and no I will not respond to PMs probing for information of any kind. If you're out coin, you have my empathy. Truly. I have been there. The best thing to do is to swallow that lump of justifiable anger in your throat, take the L, and move on.

Now, if you need recommendations, I am happy to help via PM. I won't be playing favorites, I just happen to have been around here long enough and chatted with many longstanding, known-good magazine salespeople either in threads or via PM who can help if you're in a bind. People who will more than likely understand the position many of you are in due to their absence and will be willing to help.

I'm on disability too, I wish these people would understand some of us are discriminated against for being disabled at the doctor so this is the only relief we can get and for some of us $500 is literally 50% of some peoples monthly income. How can you be so shitty to steal from people like that.

If I wasn't in the same boat I'd help you out but I'm saving up because I have to get a procedure done and I already know they won't give me anything for the pain or anxiety.

I'm sorry you're suffering too, friend. I work for a very large US automaker and after getting permanent restrictions due to 8 herniated discs they claimed they had no work available they could accommodate me with(i asked for a driving or forklift job and they refused), and put me off indefinitely. My union that I've paid thousands in dues to over the years said the company doesn't have to accommodate me because it's a "personal injury". They said that after I developed crippling carpal tunnel in both hands and had to have both operated on. I've had 3 back and 2 wrist surgeries since I started there... been there over 6 years and I've never had an unexcused absence, write up or discipline of any kind and my union isn't doing anything to help me....pathetic. I have a few more months of short term disability then a year of optional long term but I only get 60% of my normal take home and it drops to 30k a year once it goes long term... when that's out I'm SOL and lose all my benefits and they can fire me because of shit beyond my control despite being a near perfect employee. I thought it would be in violation of the ADA but the union is basically taking their side... no surprise since they're a paper tiger owned by the company through favors and corruption, all the way from the building chair down to the newly elected committee people. It's all political theater but the union always lays down after putting on a show. Reminds me of pro wrestling, or our government lol. I hope your luck improves, my surgeon said I'll be in a wheelchair within 2-3 years at worst and fused from crotch to sternum within 9 years at best. The first fusion was a failure and I have permanent paralysis in half of one of my legs as a result, and chronic pain. I'm off opioids except kratom but the extracts are banned now and pain management is a joke, I'm sure you've danced that dance as well.

After my first post, I decided basically the same thing. Maybe she needs it more than I do and is truly suffering too, or got robbed herself. Either way, I'm turning the other cheek.... probably strange hearing a guy with 666 in his username quote Jesus but a lot has changed in my life and my attitudes the past several years. I hope she gets better and eventually tries to make some amends, but if my unintentional donation keeps her kids or dogs from starving, I'd do it again willingly. Life can be a bitch and I still have a roof over my head so I'll pray for her and hope she can turn it around.

Sometimes it takes a little time for the old me to chill out and put the sword back in the sheath. A couple hundred isn't worth prison, starting a war or living with the guilt of knowing you ruined a life or tore a family apart.
