With all the bad information coming to light about Kratom and it’s alkaloids, it’s got me a little paranoid and I’m feeling kind of like an addict because I use this substance. But aside from addiction how bad for me is seven hydroxymitragynine an mitragynine is one easier than the other as body load?

There is a lot of misinformation about se7en oh and some industry drama behind the ban pushes that would likely bore readers of even the most dry mags so I'll skip the detail on that.

Almost all of the deaths attributed to it by media hit pieces like the Tampa Bay TImes series and supporters of ban bills and scheduling involved combinations of other magazines or even whole damn encyclopedias. Certainly it can be addictive like many of the types of reading material we discuss-there are some stimulating ones that I personally just can't put down-but among the opie oids and opie ates it is less dangerous than most.

Mitra itself metabolizes to a number of things, including a small amount of 7 ooooh. But it would take a lot of kray t0m leef to get a dose that some of the tablets contain.

If you are in a banned state or facing one-or if you decide for personal reasons you want to quit-probably best to taper if you can and maybe consider ess arr one seven 0 juan ate which many have reported success with in reducing opie oyd tolerance in general, not just for this.

Also for some information from the other side pushing back on the s3v3n oh moral panic check out 7hopealliance dot org.

Personally I believe that 7 is worse for you than traditional full agonist opies. The only advantages it has are the ceiling effect and the lack of respiratory depression, which means doses can’t really pushed excessively high and ohh dee ing is less likely. Being a partial agonist it has to bind to a much greater number of opie receptors to give comparable effects to full agonists, which causes more dysregulation of the body’s opie system, extremely fast tolerance development, a more serious dependency, and severe withdrawals. Most people who have been dependent on both 7 and full agonists like mor fien, oxie, hero win, or phen t, say that 7 was the hardest to get off of. It’s possible that 7, or its metabolites, have some pharmacological effects aside from just the opie effects. While it doesn’t seem to have as many targets as mitragynine (which affects the adrenergic and adenosinic systems on top of opie agonism, 7 is relatively novel and understudied. Action at other binding sites could cause more sides, dysregulation, and further dependence. Ultimately we don’t really know that much about 7. We have a century of scientific research on regular opies, and their effects and toxicity are relatively well understood. The same can’t be said about 7. I’m not against the use of 7 or crate umm by any means, if it helped you quit other things, that’s great. If it enhances your life, great. I just don’t think we should be acting like it’s perfectly safe or magically better than other opies just because it’s legal and comes from a plant.

I'll just say that for people who have a strong opiate tolerance, Kratom or 7OH extract won't do anything at all, maybe reduce the intensity of the withdrawal a bit.
