Does Xanax and Oxycodone potenate each other? Or does it make one of the other weaker?

Thanks

Yeah they potentiate. i wouldnt go over 10:2 ratio and iwouldnt suggest going any higher than 20 on the 0x. im resistant to the 0p!@t3 and b3nz0D classes (both before and after tolerance building) and has 15:2 slapped me when my t was higher. seriously though careful on this mix. if one feels the need to mix these two, maybe start w/ the minimum amount to get an effect from 0x and z@nx on their own

really though, this particular class mix is generally unsafe and makes the alcohol X z@x look  like weak syrup
So mixing opiates w alcohol and Xanax  weakens the alcohol and Xanax? Seriously please tell me I'm not misunderstanding. If I'm not misunderstanding it explains a lot recently. lol right now at this very moment I should be feeling right but don't feel shit

Mixing benzos and opiates is just an all around bad idea. It's not safe drug use that's for sure. Both depress respiratory function. Most overdoses occur because of this - not because they take too much of a particular drug - but because they mix drugs which have similar side effects.  Sorry to sound so "preach-ey" but I lost a friend that way.

Yes the VA tells me everything I go and warns me against mixing opiates and benzos. Many veterans have died recently and they think it's due to the mixing benzos and opiates. The vA is cracking down on it big time.

yes my cousin was prescribed 4 two mg bars a day from the va and got a tooth pulled gave him 5mg hydr@$, took two and was out.. very scary and don't recommend mixing any opiate with any benzo.. the army was prescribing me back in 07 20mg oxi's the original OC's, and 2mg dilauded's for my back and hip injury from iraq, plus psyche was giving me 2mg clon@z@p@m$ a day... that was the first time i found out the hard way not to mix these two types of compounds. my cousin and i are both OIF2 vets and hate the va for a million reasons.. but at the end of the day as humans we will do what we want to do when we want to do it, so please if you or anyone you know is knowingly or unknowingly mixing them, please be super cautious and be extrenely aware of what you are doing and how you are doing it....... just mt two cents to the community and maybe i can help save a life...
Wow I thought the Army had me on a heavy dose of meds but it wasn't shit compared to you. I'm willing to bet money you had a period of time where you hardly remember anything?

At one point after I got my TBI and began having seizures I was in 2MG kpins 4 times a day. I was a walking zombie but that was the only thing keeping me from having a bunch of seizures. Then they finally found the right maintenance med and they began to ween me off.

You can always do more but you can never do less.First lesson I ever learned and it's saved me a few times.Very dangerous mix, especially if you through alcohol on top of the two. Lost a couple friends that way. First lesson I ever learned and it's saved me a few times. And yes tolerance is a bitch.

alcohol is the one people dont see comin. a couple ox's and a xnx, their judgement gets altered and a drink doesn't sound like it will hurt but it literally intensifies anything else you've taken. There was a girl out here a few years back that took 1 10mg val had a couple drinks at the bar and died sitting there at the bar. Before anyone nothiced her cerebral cortex had been cut off from air for too long to revive her. It was horrible.

Wow that's horrific. Yes mixing alcohol and benzos are extreme. Alcohol definitely intensifies all benzos very fast it's hard to judge. I've personally never realized when or if it's intensified opiates but I am sure it does I've just never personally realized  it is all. But I have definitely realized it's intensifying effects on all benzos.

Any one who is mixing alcohol benzo's & opies has a death wish. Or at the very least some thing very bad will happen because you won't know wtf your doing. That's just my opinion & it's that kind of behavior that has gotten so much heat on the opiate/benzo scene. RXPRO999000-

Your statement isn't opinion - it's a deadly fact!!!  Even without the alcohol it's extremely dangerous but add the alcohol, and you're right , it's toxic and deadly.

I agree with everything everyone here has said about not mixing benzos and opiates.  Because they do potentiate each other it can lead to OD.  In fact, I just watched a documentary that said that in the vast majority of opioid OD deaths  (wish they had quoted the stats) another substance was involved i.e., benzos, alcohol).

However, that being said. I have been taking 4mg of Xanax daily for the last 13 yrs. (panic disorder) and I recently had a total knee replacement, and was put on copious amounts of Dilaudid which is 8-10x more powerful than morphine. They took me off my Xanax when I was in the hospital and told me that I could resume taking my Xanax as needed after discharge. Because of the Dilaudid, I took much less than my daily maximum prescription, but I was allowed by my surgeon to mix the two. However, as I mentioned I have taking Xanax daily for a very long time & my system is completely habituated to it, and that was likely the reason I got the go ahead.   I am in no way advocating mixing the 2, this was just my recent personal experience (I had the surgery June 7th).  I would talk to your doctor about mixing the two before doing it.  If they weren't prescribed to you by a doc, my advice is just don't do it. Be safe friend!

At the VA Seattle I don't think if you were even dying if they would give you opiates. Seriously I just came off a 5 month work program for disabled veterans and walking the whole hospital everyday you hear and talk to a lot of people and in Seattle they don't give out shit, lol. At the beginning of 2016 my VA Dr had me on 60mg a day of oxy, he would give it to me as long as I exercised and lost weight to help with all of my injuries. He gave me a  P test around June and said I failed, but I had opiates 3 days before seeing him. He told me that they could detect them up to 20days later. I told another Dr that and he laughed his ass off. My Dr won't even give out Tramadol, I think that is a joke, tram doesn't do anything for me.

My doctor decided it was time to cut me off of my va1um. He said that the combination between my n0rc0 and b3nz could kill me! Lol.. I said to him well you have had my life in such treacherous danger for almost 10 years now? He didn't like my smart ass response. So I said ok well I am fine then for at least a year maybe 2 since I have been only taking half of my 10mg doses. He looked at me dumbfounded but hasn't argued with me about it. So now I have to order b3nz from online just like most everyone else cause of the new "guidelines" or wonderful government imposed. Oh and my wife won't kick down anymore.. lol. So I am about to get some Ksalol and see if it compares. But mixing them for me was never an issue. Since I only take one before bed. Never took them during the day when I take my pain meds. So I'll know by next week if they work or not. But my goodness all the danger I've been in has given me so much anxiety... ;)

I have tried and obviously failed using benzos / alcohol / opiates in a passive suicide attempt(s) I am lucky to be alive my biggest binge was 1/2 a bottle of wine, 200mg oxy and 6mg xanz (how the f*ck am I alive???)

  1. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  4. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  5. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  6. aBBazaBBa123 @ aBBazaBBa123: @rockychoc How do I contact you?
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
