MoneyGram-ID Required for SENDING?!

Omg this is worrying- does anyone know? I suppose u always put your real name anyway but what about those receiving the £££? 

 
@Requiem The ones receiving usually have to be providing real name as most receiving countries like India, Thailand etc has made it mandatory to provide Photo ID & a Photo copy of the ID to receive the amount. Unless, someone has a Government issued id, driving license etc in a bogus name which they can provide for receiving.

 
As far as I know they've also got to have photo ID aswell to be able to collect the cash !! I don't know what that'll mean for us , but doesn't sound too good really. 

 
Thinking about trying bitcoin but am a bit wary as I've never used them before. But that looks like it'll be the way to pay in the future.

Bitcoin wanted my life story and passport photos although others say some versions of bitcoin aren't as invasive.

 
Last 2 times using MG asked to show ID.  Never asked before and with larger amounts so it must be a new policy.  Try to switch it up between WU and MG, use home, then cell. Debit card easier to get refund, but always have to have the phone number you listed to call you back on to verify, but you don't have to go back to store, like with cash and show ID.

 
I went to a savemart and talked on the kiosks phone. I told them qll the info and it went smoothly. I walk up to the counter nd he prints the recipt and asks me to verify the info. I look and immediately notice that the name is wrong. The clerk tells me i have to go back to the kiosk nd talk to another mg representative to change the info. When i talk to this guy(it was a different person), he started askin me how i kno him nd all this nd that. So i lie to him nd play the shit off. He hung up on me so i was like fuck it! All that after being denied by mg online for a large donation with another vendor a couple days b4. So i was on the prowl, lookin for a place that has mg. I found a cvs nd everything was automated so i dint have to worry about any fuckin narcs or weenies! Mg is a convienient option. Idk anything about bitcoin and i, honestly, dont care to learn!

Have you tried to ask the vendor if they will take any payment methods like Xoom, Ria, Sharemoney, or Paypal? Those are all 1000 times CHEAPER, easier, & quicker than WU and MG as they both have just become ridiculous and their online service is even worse IMO.  

Just thought I would throw those few payment options out there for you to check into and ask vendor will about.
