Moneygram Problems

they put the firstname and 1st last name, they forgot the 2nd lastname i said go put the 2nd last name and it was blocked, so you think maybe it was the reciver not the sender? i already requested a new reciever name and got one
Yes, that indeed sounds like a receiver problem to me. I presume that changing the receiver at this point will be difficult, if not impossible. Canceling the transaction and obtaining a refund would, in my mind, be the preferred course of action. If MG balks in any way, you might consider sending 99 Luftballons a PM, as he has some recent experience dealing with such matters and may be able to provide some guidance.

Sexy Beast? That's you my brother!

Did they give you a number for the "FBI"? did you Google it? what did it say?

Vendors need to have about 10 receivers. What do they expect when they have 1-3 and they are being sent 10k a day. LE is slow if they were not on this faster IMHO.

Also, I am not so sure they were not just trying to scare you. Not like LE to make you aware that they are looking into you until they have what they want.

That would be like a ninja telling you they are a ninja...just doesn't happen. You realize they are ninja when you are holding your entrails.

Well, there ARE exceptions to that rule. Like Wookies for instance. We'll be glad to tell you that we're going to rip your arms off in advance, yet the outcome remains the same! /default_laugh.png

Please don't interpret my comments as a recommendation to NOT seek legal counsel or to NOT take precautionary measures on all matters IT related. Just pointing out that from a criminal defense perspective, making preemptive telephone calls to answer unasked questions is generally not the preferred strategy.
very well understood, i guess i jumped to worst case scenario.  Big Brother is always watching and I always try to eliminate things that I could have done in order to prevent an unfortunate outcome.  Thanks again for your insight.

Have to say, I thought those were a shot of J-bacca's feet.  /default_ohmy.png

I have not placed an order from an SY vendor in a couple of years. I recently went to wire money using MoneyGram at an in-person location (a latino market) using ficticious sender information on the form just as I used to, and the clerk asked for an ID. The amount was under $250. I questioned this and she pointed to a poster affixed to the inside of the glass which appeared to be printed by the federal government and specified that an ID must be provided. They also wanted my social security number and occupation. I took back the form and left. Is this the new standard practice for senders at MoneyGram? Or was this just the policy of that location? Has anyone else had this experience? Should I switch to Western Untion?

Thanks in advance.

I had just had a problem where I wanted a refund and needed to show ID for that. Luckily I had ID matching the names. Warning to anyone who may not use a name that can be accompanied by ID. Had this happend on earlier tranx I would have been out the $, as I would not have had proof (ID) that I was the sender.

But I've never been asked for ID arbitrarily like that before when I was sending small amounts. I know under a 1000 they aren't supposed to ask, but everyong knows that, and I'm sure that you do too.

Jewy offers some info about the whole money sending thing in the sales-meds page

Are the clerks allowed to just ask at random if they feel something is off? I'd be interested to know if we're really just more paranoid or if they are starting to infringe on our lawful anonymity? (I use lawful but I use it not actaully knowing if anonymity is truly lawful of not, just FYI)

  12. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  13. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  14. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  16. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
  17. Alkazar @ Alkazar: It is INSANE how doctors treat tax paying hard working people like criminals when they ask for opioids. This world just keeps getting more and more backwards. But thanks to this site to be able to find people to help when no one in the medical world will.
  18. L @ Layne_Cobain: Hang in there @Turbo259 life can be such a Fkn sludge prayers and good vibes to you and your loved ones 🙏 ❤️
