No, not with Moneygram at least and in an experience I had well over 2 years ago.
I sent a vendor (now long gone) about $250 using Moneygram and when nothing arrived just wrote it off and put it down to experience.
Much to my surprise, one year later, they sent me a letter advising the funds had not been collected in 12 months and I could take the letter to the post office and get it back.
On arrival at the post office they asked for the original sent receipt, and very luckily, after digging through the drawer I keep them in prior to receipt, I found it
I used the funds to send to my vendor at that time, instead of taking back the cash - it was a nice surprise though I must say.
What WU policy is however I do not know, and Moneygram may have changed given that this was in 2016, as best as I can recall.
