Nootropics?

what is it and how does it compare to m0e@finil
Noopept is one of a small class of peptide Nootropics developed in Russia where much of the newest smart drug research is conducted. It has actually only been quite recently that Western scientists and researchers have begun to show a clear interest in this supplement. Noopept is known to have some striking effects in the areas of memory, learning, attention, overall brain protection, and even limited mood enhancement.

Noopept is also very powerful, reportedly up to 1,000 times as strong as the original Nootropics supplement developed in the 1960;s. There has also been a lot of research (a fair amount continues to be ongoing) into how Noopept administration might help those suffering from conditions that range from Alzheimer’s and ADHD to certain forms of mental illness.

Noopept is known to be a memory and learning capacity expander. The method of action involved modulation of both Glutamate and Acetylcholine neurotransmitter receptors in the brain. After crossing the blood-brain barrier and binding with the neurotransmitter receptor sites, it is believed to optimize a number of cognitive processes. Noopept basically makes your neurons more sensitive to chemical transmissions sent by other neurons, causing increased resting activity potential. This also means significant gains in terms of mental energy and clarity. Many users report much longer attention span, increased concentration, and focus as well when taking Noopept powder daily.

This supplement is also thought to be very effective at improving overall brain communication between the two hemispheres. It creates new neuronal connections and synapses resulting in faster and more efficient signal transmission. This helps to integrate different functions commonly associated with different sides of the brain. Some people become more creative and others see an expansion in their logical abilities. Problem solving skills and verbal acuity are two areas where Noopept effects are especially pronounced.

Hummm....so where in the brain is that glutamate and acetylcholine being increased? neuropeptides are loonnnnggg releaseeee....

im a neuroscience student...so i know just enough to ask annoying questions....

Well, I am NOT a scientist but have recently tried Noopept with very good results. I am only one day 4 of using 10 mgs 3x daily but for me it is more effective than the generic modafinil I was using. The Noopept seems much cleaner to me almost with an anti depressant quality. I feel alert but not like the energizer bunny (which would be ok but that's for another post). I suppose I could be experiencing a placebo effect but I honestly don't think so. I have an ever so slight shift in mental clarity and quickness of thought. The fog lifted! Finally! Not sure if this is a cycle on/off thing and if tolerance builds so I am not going to use it on the weekends just to be safe. I ordered from Powder City and am very pleased so far.

I  was wondering having schizoaffective but still thinking about trying adderall that might mess with me how motivational are nootropics.adderall in the was like I started obstinate to wanted to do something. I've heard they can increase motivation but now having tried stratterra and feeling focus though no added motivation it fell through plus I had to stop bc my schizoaffective situation made it impossible for me to use strattera

I've had good effects from Mondafinil but I have ongoing problems with insomnia & have to use something to knock myself out in order to get to sleep after using it. Are there any compounds that improve concentration but don't affect sleep as much?

I've really tried getting the most out of nootropics, but I've only had bad reactions.

Mod@finil is quite useful, but limited, and I wouldn't consider it a nootropic anyway..

L Theanine doesn't sit well with my seizure disorder and Sulbutiamine put me in a bloody awful mood, never been so irritable...

Phen!but's grand, if you consider it nootropic...

After looking a bunch of them over online last night, I'd have to say "scams".  As non-pharma, they all contain common ingredients which--like caffeine--are know to increase, minimally, alertness, concentration.  But most of the sites "cite" bogus trials or studies or endorsements.  Lots are the old, "Free trial amount, then we sneakily bill you each month for a big amount of moola, until you talk to a rude person and get the "agreement" cancelled.  Not to say some might not do something.  Reminds me of an old joke my mom told me 60 years ago.

A guy showed up in town selling "smart" pills.  A farmer shelled out the money, took a few of the pills, and said, "Why, these are just rabbit droppings!"

"See", said the salesman, "you're getting smarter already".

There are plenty of chemicals that will improve you're mental acuity, but I'm not sure they're the ones being sold as nootropics. Modafinil certainly improves my ability to concentrate and think quickly. I can think of a number of substances that improve creativity. And there's research showing that amphetamines improve IQ by about 10 pts (while you're on them & when not overused).

I personally like nuvigil and provigil both really clear my head since my concussion and now tbi I have such a hard time focusing long enough to complete a sentence or even a thought. I get them from online because they are a fortune for an RX. 200 mg modafinil and and another artvigil I think that's the name but I can at least think better with the help of nootropics. I don't really get side effects either. I have been hesitant to post cuz I feel like I don't make sense so sorry. At first they thought I had MS so I don't know what is worse lol

I've tried numerous nootropics and asprin has more effect. Not the really expensive ones though.

I did get a reaction from Estazolam, but it basically knocked me out, slobbering on the sofa.

This may've been asked before. But has anyone tried adrafinil? it is the prodrug of modafinil. Being a prodrug means its not modafinil at the time of taking the pill, but as it goes through your digestive system, it gets broken down by enzymes in the body. The metabolite, (or product of broken-down, processed adrafinil), is modafinil. I found it to last longer and fewer side effects.

Also it is legal in the US and cheap. After years of taking moda and armodafinil, I found them to have negative side effects and also I had to take like a dozen moda a day or something crazy, from any vendor (besides the few months when I had Provigil prescription). Typically prefer modafinil and varieties of it, since it's not a stimulant as the others (addy, ritz) and doesn't have as many negative body effects for me.

Found the adrafinil to last longer and be less noticeable. Felt more like a supplement, less like a drug, which I liked a lot.

Anyways, I'm looking to step down from the stronger stimulants to modafinil versions in the next couple of months, to nothing at all by late summer this year. Nervous about this process and afraid that after years of stims, I'll be struggling to even form a coherent thought!

  1. R @ Royboy99: Grateful that this site exists and realizing that trying to save a few bucks today may cost me so much more in the future …
  2. R @ Royboy99: The hardest hit was losing my girl , and I still feel the tremendous heartache everyday, over a year later … knowing that I caused it all. She gave me 4 chances and I let her down everytime … I use Diaz and kpins going on year now for my panic attacks, ptsd and anxiety. With no issues and see a therapist weekly
  3. R @ Royboy99: Destroyed bonds that took me 10+ years to form , over 160k in medical billing… all in result of 6 months of RC use. Now I’m forever labeled a out of control addict that needs to be monitored… lost my girl too in result :(
  4. R @ Royboy99: Gravely underestimating the psychological impacts , I destroyed my reputation, relationships and spent a year in and out of detox and rehab
  5. R @ Royboy99: ..
  6. R @ Royboy99: Jesus fent in a addy press? So basically attempted murder? Fuck is wrong with people
  7. O @ ondyismiolip: Has anyone ever got Fent in an adderall press?
  8. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: That’s funny people are mentioning the klepomanazepam phenomenon. I was actually briefly in some sort of patient data study on this, but was not recruited as I don’t experience amnesia or episodic antisocial, impulsive-behavioral disordered tendencies and out of character crime sprees. They just dent the tremendous suffering that’s underscored my life and I had a few years of true reprieve before tolerance began to return the old way of “it’s always a catastrophe” with “plus, benzo habit” lol!
  9. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: @Bodix lol glad it isn’t just me. And yes I did unfortunately drive backwards down the front of the airport (one way). Thank the security guard looked past my error and my droopy face and kindly asked me to turn around. Lmao easily could’ve ended up in jail
  10. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: Freedom!!!!

  13. L @ Layne_Cobain: Like the old joke “I’m allergic to benzos every time I take em I break out in handcuffs” heh heh
  14. Bodix @ Bodix: @Realbenzeyes, I knew a chick that would pop half a bar and rob you but off them like you wouldn’t take a stick of gum it’s because benzos especially strong doses take away the part of your brain that thinks of the consequences
  15. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: No clue why but kpins make me steal and get shitty everytime. This is coming from a guy who wouldn’t steal a candy bar from the store. I’m way too scared to steal from stores but those fkers get me everytime. (Usually a drink, food etc) nothing major. Just dumb shit
  16. Bodix @ Bodix: @army13$ I bought 10 grams of clam in 21 and did the most stupid shit over than time I was taking atleast 5mg at a time and I remember barely remember most of it I fail in the show and broke my ribs, fell asleep nightly in my food so I started mixing it with 4c and that was not a smart move I wanted to fight everyone
  17. Bodix @ Bodix: The tv benzos are so much weaker and safer than my on and off again relapses of rcs from 21-23 years ago I would of already by now either got fired or arrested and total amnesia that doesn’t exist anymore which is probably a good thing
  18. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: who knows, maybe some chemical companies will open back up down the road, be patient.
  19. L @ Layne_Cobain: Will SR be back eventually or y’all think it’s dead and gone. I truly hope not. Kicking myself hard for not getting some before it disappeared taking it’s availability for granted 🤦
  20. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: XMR bros be chillin
