Ordered seized by the U Customs and Border

I received a letter from the US Customs and Border Protection notifying that the CBP has intruded a package addressed to m that contains a controlled substance.

the letterboxed goes on  asking me to  check the following box: either:

1. agree to voluntarily abandon the imported controlled substance

2 or request that CBP commence seizure proceedings which is a legal processs giving me a chance to show that I had a legitimate request.  t

and they want me to   sign and date it and return to their office -US Custom and Border protection in San Francisco.

what do I do?   in another part of the letter they say if I elect to do nothing the substances will be destroyed in 30 days]

they  also  inlcuded literature of the dangers of buying foreign medicine. It all looks like a real letter

Your best bet is to ignore the letter and move on. Part of the game unfortunately. Sometimes we lose.

for small stuff, If they were going to do anything drastic it wouldn't be customs it would be local and they'd do a controlled delivery so you're good.  better luck next time and stay safe!

The letter is addressed to signbe signed. and  returned  to the to US Border Protection office  in San Francisco,   which is local . I would  imagine  they have bigger fish than me to fry!  I think I will destroy the letter  and let it go.  There were actually two orders that they confiscated. . I  don't   want to send them my signature which would be admitting guilt.

@Harbin First, take a breath! I know EXACTLY how stressful this is and how your imagination can run wild (WAY LEFT FIELD WILD )! 

Second, when you read a post with the term “LL” in it, this is exactly what people are referring to. LL’s are L0v€ L€tt€rs. Many people get them. Some more than others, but I haven’t read anywhere (& I apologize if this isn’t 100% accurate) about someone not getting one at some point or another. 

And just like @never2many said, it’s just part of the game, unfortunately. Just toss it and I hope you have better luck in the future!

My main concern is if my name is in some registration now, if my mail will be carefully followed... And most importantly, if I will be able to by my much needed аrmоdаf again.

They say 30 days. So I should just pay no attention, or flee to a frier country, or get a large life insurance and in 30 days imitate a fatal accident.

Because under no circumstances I will go to prison. After this, you only have to commit a crime after a crime to at least have a roof over your head and a daily meal.

Your name is not in a registration now, and your mail is not being followed.  Many many members on here have gotten LL's and have successfully continued to order to same address.  Many have gotten an LL and immediately had the same order reshipped.  And as far as freer country, there probably isn't a country on this planet that doesn't have a vigilant customs that will seize any drug$ they find..... I'm sorry you got one and i really hope it never happens to you again!!

Yes, in every country the customs are search and confiscate. However, in many ones the problem  can be solved by placing two or three 100 bills into your passport when handling it to the officials.

Of purchasing, In many nations so called "controlled substances" are sold OTC... Or you can include a generous tip for the pharmacist. Or you can make friends with a doctor who has an access and needs money.

 I am not going to talk about ways to bring them across the border and let the forum guests be creative.

Hi, I just had 2 packages from one order seized and my LL's were inside the envelopes (my vendor always breaks up the orders into separate packages). The question is: Would it help if I had the address changed to my company name and address even though that address is only 2 miles away? This is the first time I have had a LL in about 7 years. I do trust my vendor but he is mailing now in normal airmail envelopes rather than envelopes with random business return addresses. I will not sign or reply and just let them destroy the contents of course. I had one envelope left but as it, like the other two are about 8 days later than usual I anticipate that I will be getting nothing or another LL soon. I don't think I live in a hotspot.

I’ve wondered if there is such a thing as “hotspots” since I’ve received three LL’s over the last ten years or so all from the same place. None from any other place. I’m in southern US. Not too long ago I received 1st magazine and 2nd was replaced with a LL. Anyone else with this experience?
