Yesterday the oxy I've been taking for pain suddenly stopped working and I'm beside myself with pain.  I know my  resistance  has gone up but upping the dose has no effect.  I usually take 10 MG at a time but even 20 MG didn't touch the pain.   Ended up taking 50 MG by the end of the day but no effect .The pills are good I know that.  Does switching to something else help and what would that be ? I would appreciate any help anyone can give.  Doctors are no help they never would give me anything  narcotic  for my IBS . Thanks

Ps according to Luke, 2 Earls is an expert on this .

Unfortunately you're right about resistance going up!  I've found that the best thing to do is to not take them for 4-5 days (which is very hard to do).  Once they are out of your system when you start taking them again you will notice a huge difference in how they work.  I have done this several times and taken over the counter Loperamide (it is an anti-diarrhea medication) and it seems to help getting through the 4-5 days.  Another med that helps get through the 4-5 days is Lomotil however, it is prescription only.  I have IBSD and get a script for Lomotil once a month from my doctor.  How do you know that the pills are good?  Did you have them tested or get them from a legitimate pharmacy?  Just wondering!  I feel for you because it really stinks to be in pain.

I know they are good because they had been working and are from a very reputable vendor here.  (Sorry about the underline, can't get rid of it. I'm a bit afraid to go cold turkey maybe I can taper off, they aren't  helping with the pain anyway. My problem isn't D,  so that other medication wouldn't be much help.  This is so scary!

I just tried taking a Vicodin and got sick as a dog. Never gonna do that again. Thanks so much for replying to me. Thought I was the only one here with IBS pain.

  5. CalFresh @ CalFresh: Thanks everyone. My family and I are safe ATM. @mellowella thank you, but they cleaned me out. the shelves are empty but I'm hoping to call in some favors to restock ASAP. @xenxra I will reach out to set up a secure comms channel for us. Thanks again all. Yesterday was tough, but the support I've received from those I can share is with has been a Godsend.
  6. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Mad love to you and your family @CalFresh
  7. xenxra @ xenxra: @CalFresh if you are able to DM me (in a secure manner) the transactions associated with your btc theft, i can look into that part for you at least. i;m still 99% certain if the fbi didn't discard my leads they could have gotten some of my coins back and considering you had your coins stolen within the us, you have a much better chance of recovery than me. unless they went through mixers i could probably trace them myself.
  8. O @ Outsider9173: @CalFresh Haven't been here long but I want to wish you a fast recovery

  13. mellowella @ mellowella: I will always remember what you did for me the very first time I donated. I have been waiting to pay that kindness forward.
  14. mellowella @ mellowella: @CalFresh are you and your family safe? You’ve helped me in a pinch and were more than generous, and I’m sure you’ve helped others. How can we help you? Does it help at all if we completely buy out what’s left? Maybe that gives time and funds to restock and rebuild? I don’t want to break any rules here, but please let us know if we can do anything. All on your time of course.
  15. CalFresh @ CalFresh: thanks guys. I'm pulling together what I have left and leaning on the kindness of folks who support me to restock my shelves so that I can keep the lights on. Having my savings drained and my security vanish in an instant is paralyzing and the repercussions will only be realized in the coming days and weeks. for now I'm just trying to stay focused on the immediate priorities for ensuring this doesn't. cause cataclysmic failure to the life I've built for my children and I.
  16. H @ hotdog45: @CalFresh hey man if I can do anything, anything at all to help you get back on your feet let me know. Truly my heart goes out to you. I sent you an email also
