Anyone ever tried it? I purchased a sample of 5 grams HCl salt and 5 grams free amino acid (basically the same as a "free base" molecule) and dosed the HCl salt throughout the day like people say one should, and felt barely any effects. I'm going to try again with the F.A.A. by dosing a few grams at the same time (would not recommend jumping into doing that from what I've read). It's been a few weeks since I tried with the stuff and I'm not sure when I'll try it again. I will report back with results though. In the meantime, anybody have experience with phenibut? I bought some because somebody who had some told me it helps with working out, but I can't see what any mechanism of this chemical has to do with working out. It affects the same receptors as alcohol and GHB. Can't wait to hear somebody's thoughts on this

 
@Snooky I was just telling someone about this. A good backup to have if you are in need of benzos. 

It was invented by ...was it the russian space flight team?... to help with nerves during takeoff. No personal experience with it,

 
@Ayyy7393 a quick wiki search would be more informative I imagine, but from what i remember phenibut acts on gaba B receptors...similar to a drug called baclofen. baclofen is not a benzo exactly. so this may be what you are thinking/ referring to, so yes, they act on different gaba receptors, UNLESS if what I read was true...if you up the dose, i believe in the gram dosing range, phenibut can tickle the primary gaba receptor that all the popular benzos target.

I hope that made sense and wasn't horribly mis stated and inaccurate. Bro science at best as they say. Pretty sure it would keep you from withdrawing / seizing if you were on a high dose and ran out before tapering, but thats worth a double check before risking your life on it.

Definitely makes sense its why phenibut wont really help benzo w/d ? Correct if im wrong 

 
The first time I tried it because I heard it was great for sleep but I still couldn't sleep, so I took a few big spoonfuls (5-6 grams if I had to guess) and I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and felt so dissociated that I could barely walk. I had to use the walls to stay upright. It was kinda like that feeling when you sleep on your arm and it becomes dead weight, except it was almost my entire body, and worst in my legs. Not fun at all. 

I've talked to other people that go crazy over it and say they have withdrawals when they stop and everything. 

Other than that, I've taken 2 grams for anxiety before and I think it just made be feel tired but still anxious. It's never given me euphoria or muscle relaxant effect either.

It used to be one of my favorite substances to take. You really should use it with some kind of caffeine though. I don't use caffeine regularly and could tell a difference on days I would take pheni with caff and without. I would usually drink a big cup of coffee 45 minutes after taking the phenibut and it would all hit me at once. The reason it works well for working out is the rush of euphoria some people get from it, plus music sounds a lot better so if you're like me, you can lift better stronger longer if I'm feeling good and the music has me pumped.Not everyone gets these effects, some people respond great to it and others dont feel I thing and I have no clue why. Unfortunately, If you start taking it daily that's where all the phenibut horror stories usually start. Please don't take it daily. If you can control yourself and only use it once or twice a week it is a good substance to use for working out or being social or making any general life activity a little more interesting lol.  If you use it daily for long periods of time there is a good chance you will find your own special little hell.

The hcl salt worked way better for me that the FAA. I would throw 1.5 to 2 grams into capsules and wash it down. I have about 1000 gram tub of it sitting here. A life time supply hahaha

 
@Ebolapancakes Thats so odd... so a benzo helps phenibut withdrawal, correct? BUT, phenibut wont help a benzo withdrawl?

Im certainly not saying youre incorrect... [ and for the sake of knowledge I should do a little reading, so we all know, ] but I want to say something about that seems off to me. Very likely because i just dont have all the information/understanding, it just seems logical that if benzo helps phen withdrawl but phen wont help a benzo withdrawl.......Could that be because the dosages just don't equate, as most the time people are taking solid doses of benzos, and phen cant touch that safely?

I wonder if someone was just on a very vey small benzo dose if theyd find phenbut helpful when they had none.

Yeah I know it’s weird how that works but I speak from experience. If you take a Xanax in the middle of phenibut withdrawal you will feel a loooot better. Not 100 percent but a nice improvement.  baclofen is definitely the cure to pheni withdrawal though since its hits gaba b receptors.
