Call me late to the party, stumbled on this amazing piece of literature yesterday can't put it down. The irony is reading it in 2026 and seeing how Shulgin predicated there would be a day the book could not be found anywhere and ridiculed the criminalazation of psychedellucs in western culture I think he may be very pleased in the steps we have taken as of late 😃!!! Let the train keep rollin

obviously pihkal and tihkal are his best works but also if you like the history of this stuff he wrote some 1975 paper called "drugs of abuse of the future" that was kinda prophetic (called the whole analogue game and upcoming fent crisis way back then)

wow THANK YOU KINDLY I am absolutely the type to fall down the rabbit whole proveded the one leading has a flashlight and a good sense of where the surface is........I absoletly love Pihkal, I am early into it as I keep going back and reading and laughing, for a chemis he is a real stitch talking about the beta fish and his lab looking like an aquarium and his most "anayltical critical of sorts pal, stumbled upon the spatchla withl lysergia labeled on it and he handed it to him saying "bitter" I almost fell off my seat can you imagine.....from Sandoze labs lol lol and his reply was how would you know if it is bitter and he then licked the spatchula and said "well one thing is for sure we are certainly in store for a grand day this afternoon" sorry went on a rant just really enjoy the reading a great book written by an amazing human.

It's really good both it and TIHKAL. I still have to get around to reading his two other books "The nature of drugs" I've glanced but, sadly have commitment issues.

Yeah I remember searching for the versions I have of PIHKAL n TIHKAL Took awhile because there were just so many versions of each. There are so many bucket list substances I wanna try by Shulgin though. The only other person in similarity in level of effect in making new things or bringing them to public consciousness in the science world. Would be David E. Nichols which, they were apparently good friends when Shulgin was alive and communed on many things. If I remember correctly Nichols made the Nb@me Compounds enter the scientific radar. Which I love those compounds.

You' probably would enjoy the Dirty Pictures Documentary about Ann n Alexander Shulgin. If that's not the movie you were already mentioning. If I remember correctly just in one scene of him in it showing off a Compound he thought of, I believe it was 2@-b-fly. it instantly appeared on the market. Crazy how just a 10 second clip of him can effect the market so strongly.

Well when you created the market you know 😀 or shall I say decoded would be a more appropriate term as the answers were in nature the entire time. I still fell that way, every answer to every allment sickness....etc can be found in organic chemistry

  3. nameofuser11 @ nameofuser11: Set a reasonable limit. Hell fucking make it like buying cold medicine where they swipe your id and you can't get a bunch. But we know this isn't about logic or public safety. It's about money and control.
  4. nameofuser11 @ nameofuser11: AKA are such a bunch of fucking capitalist traitors. The liquor lobby has a lot of money in this as well.
  5. MorfineOrfan @ MorfineOrfan: The major plain leaf companies and the AKA are the ones lobbying against 7 and the other semi-sythetic derivatives, mgm this that and the other. We all know the chemist are just gonna mess with the scaffolding of the compounds and come out with new and even better semi-sythetic alkoloids of kratom. They are already playing with cats-claw
  6. MorfineOrfan @ MorfineOrfan: @moai just asked chatgpeetea and it looks like plain leaf kratom is safe, they arent banning it. Just 7-Hydroxymitragynine, MGM15 ,16 , and pseudoindoxyl
  7. MorfineOrfan @ MorfineOrfan: Wait... @moai they are federally banning plain leaf kratom too???
  8. moai @ moai: @MorphineOrfan how fucking stupid is this shit. We better see some new shit come out, I’m most upset about banning regular kratom because really? Millions of people have got off hard opioids with it. They must want everyone on methadone instead.

  11. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: If bans were done to logic so much of what is illegal now would end up prescription only and I think the powers that be react faster than they think... if they think at all
  12. MorfineOrfan @ MorfineOrfan: They aren't specifically targeting SR and 7oh
  13. MorfineOrfan @ MorfineOrfan: @RiftChems well sr-17018 is an orphine analogue after all, and they are banning all orphines so that makes sense. Orphines are spiking the OD death rates majorly these past few months.
  14. AlHoffman69 @ AlHoffman69: CANDYMAN ramnemnber thta is will be conme relevenaent soon :alien:    🤑
  15. RiftChems @ RiftChems: crazy they are banning SR17018 at the same time. they know what theyre doing.
  16. nameofuser11 @ nameofuser11: The ban of 7oh is gonna have a lot of people needing help soon. Assuming they do ban instead of regulate like they should
