I'm running out of options here. I need a legitimate Pm doc who won't hand me some BS script that a 15 yr old boy gets for having his wisdom teeth pulled.

ANYBODY, please I am in serious need this isn't a joke. My doc just retired and he didn't even know who to refer me to.

PM.

Dr summers in philly will do Subs and Kpins and trust me he will take care of you!!! dont know if im alowwed to post how much but its a ton!

UNC has a terrific PM group.  I do think you need a referral, but if you can travel to them, they are VERY compassionate and have the pharmacy onsite.  It has been years since I needed their help; they may have technological innovations these days and/or partnerships with universities in your specific area to help alleviate the physical need to travel to them often.

Call the hospital and ask to be put in touch with their PM Clinic.  Like I said, you will likely need a (strong) referral, but your previous doc should be able to provide that to you.  I found they were MUCH more willing to be aggressive with the management/med end of things than any other doctor or group I've ever seen.  From what I have heard from others who currently use them, if you follow their "rules", they are by far the most compassionate of any of the PM groups in all of NC...

I know this is a bit late to your OP, but hopefully it can be of help to you or someone else!  Good luck!

Anybody know of a good PM doc in Atlanta area. You can PM me. One who is willing to help and compassionate?

In MARYLAND there are actually a few

Smart Pain Mgmt. 5 MD locations Very easy to deal with. Saw me 3 months before my doctor even sent them records. Fortunately my insurance doesn't require a referral so I can go wherever I want. Smart does Urine test every month (a full panel urine) and will see you at 2 week intervals for the first month to make sure you are on the right dose. If you test positive for any other med they will write you a taper script and drop you. They are pretty liberal with scripts but also pretty legit. Didn't force any shots etc

Dr Rosen and Hoffberg Towson Md. Writes scripts like candy. Has no bedside manner. His reviews are terrible. It's that kinda place. He likes to do cortisone shots. But might be worth it to ya if you walk out with what you need. I've never been here but my friend goes every month. Also, he will not complete disability forms. Says he doesn't believe in disability. If on pain mgmt you should be able to function. If you can't function, pain meds don't work for you. Don't mention disability lol

Baltimore Pain Mgmt in Rosedale Md. Will write anything. Will urine test. Sometimes it's a long wait but you'll get what you need.

And I've heard of a Pain Mgmt practice in Good Samaritan Hospital around Loch Raven/Baltimore Md. I have never been but know a few people who go there and get what they need every month. Google them.

Hope this helps anyone around Maryland area. If you are legit, Smart Pain would be a good place to try.

Also heard of a nurse practitioner at Johns Hopkins Waters Edge which is in Maryland but near Delaware border who watches lots of 30 rock episodes. Deborah Starr, CRNP office in Belcamp Md

Have mri's in hand. Will do monthly urine. Just say you moved and need a new primary. Friend goes every month and gets crazy amount of blues

Does anyone know of a liberal doc in the Culpeper/Fredericksburg/Orange/Carlottesville VA area?

I feel ashamed to ask because I of all people should have the easiest time but anyone know a PM specialist in the big apple area?

  1. xenxra @ xenxra: @WTF7218 it may as well be that way with how little effort some of the people on here make to find information that's exactly where you would expect it to be.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  4. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  5. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  6. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
