Problems With Your Pc?

Recently ran across this Nvidia graphics card nightmare with my 'FUN' machine, Inspiron E1705. (My everyday, work horse, no nonsense machine is a 12 yo Inspiron 1000,)  

Didn't want to deal with this ongoing heat problem, so switched out the MoBo for the one that has integrated graphics, ($20 on ebay) and it has been fine since. Don't need no fancy Nvidia graphics card.

Running (nLited)  XP forever...

Any onboard video on todays motherboard are more than decent for general 2D Windows use.

I just spend 3 friggin hours trying to get my laptop to work right. I'll make it short.

Somehow I downloaded some popup program that kept loading popups. I went to programs to uninstall anything I could find but they were still there. I have Windows Defender but that does not do shit. I decided to get some antivirus software but I could not search with the friggin popups going off.

I went to consumer reports to find the best deal. They listed a couple of suggestions for free software. Gotta be okay if it's on CR right?

Download the software and fixed the problem. Free!. They do offer upgrades which I'll probably consider. Help yourself and I'm sure there are other freebies out there too if anyone cares to share.

Avast is a top notch free AV and spyware protection. Also, MaleWare-Bytes Antimalware, which is free, provides a free scanner that will remove some of the most stubborn infections.

But definitely what I ordered and I thought he was honest because I asked for something very close to it and i said what about that one. Yeah I got it. And the comms were wired and he was really wanting me to make his forum board look better. Now I know the first thing to look at even before the menu. But I have some business with usps tomorrow and will ask for everything mailed to me especially packages
