Hello everyone,

I'm embarking on an intensive but supervised 3-week protocol, with the main goal of learning a foreign language during my vacation.
After some research, I opted for a Pramiracetam + Alpha-GPC combination, as I was looking for something sustained over the medium term, without euphoria or crash effects.

The attached table shows precisely the protocol I plan to follow (morning and afternoon dosages day).

Protocol:
Pramiracetam:

  • Starting dose Days 1–5: 600–700 mg morning / 500–600 mg afternoon
  • Then stabilize at 600/400 mg for the remainder of the course

Alpha-GPC:

  • 300 mg morning + 300 mg afternoon throughout (600 mg/day)
🙋 My questions:
Does this protocol seem viable/consistent to you?
I'm mainly targeting working memory, vocabulary acquisition, and stable concentration.

Do you think the Alpha-GPC and Pramiracetam doses are appropriate?
When stopping the treatment, is it better to stop immediately or gradually reduce the doses?
Can I combine this protocol with Modafinil/Armodafinil/Fladrafinil from time to time?
In terms of the risk/dosage intensity, do you think I'm more of a soft or moderate user?

I welcome all your feedback, comments, and adjustments. This is my first real three-week protocol, so I'm moving forward cautiously but with motivation.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to take a look 🙏

I have no advice but would be really cool if you kept us updated on your experience over the three weeks.

Hello TeamNoSleep,

No problem 🙂 I actually planned to write a detailed report to share my experience over these three weeks with as many people as possible.

Report on my Pramiracetam + Alpha-GPC Protocol (3 weeks)

📅 Schedule

  • Pramiracetam: 600–700 mg in the morning / 400–600 mg in the afternoon (then stabilized at 600/400 mg).
  • Alpha-GPC: 300 mg in the morning + 300 mg in the afternoon (600 mg/day).
  • Occasional combination with Modafinil: 100 mg in the morning + 100 mg at noon (on days J9 and J15).

🔎 Results observed

  • Focus: very clear and positive effect. Since I usually struggle to stay focused, I felt a real difference. No euphoria or “kick” like with Modafinil, but rather a stable mental state that allowed me to keep working.
  • Getting started: the first few days required some discipline to get going, but after a week, staying focused became much more natural.
  • Learning:
    • No spectacular improvement in raw learning speed (vocabulary, grammar, etc.).
    • However, I was much more consistent and persistent (without this protocol, I probably would have given up).
  • Language progress:
    • Starting level: A1
    • After 3 weeks: estimated B1
    • Initial goal: B2 (not reached, since each notion still needs to be revised over several days to consolidate).

⚠️ Side effects

  • No negative effects felt.
  • Excellent tolerance throughout the protocol.

🔄 Ending the protocol

  • I will finish in 2 days.
  • I prefer to taper slightly: 400 mg/day for 2 more days, just to be safe.

💊 Combination with Modafinil

  • Tested twice (J9 and J15).
  • Results: extra boost in efficiency, but should be used cautiously.

📝 Conclusion

  • Strengths: stronger focus without crash, stable motivation, excellent tolerance.
  • Limitation: does not really accelerate raw learning speed (you still need to revise and consolidate).
  • Overall: a coherent and useful protocol for intensive study. I would classify it as moderate and structured use.
  • I think I will repeat it one last time, right before my exams.

📊 General evaluation

(This is a personal and general assessment, based on my own criteria and experience.)

  • Mid-term concentration: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
  • Learning speed: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5)
  • Learning speed with Modafinil: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)

I haven’t ever experimented with pram, but I have used 150-200mg phenylpiracetam with 1g L-tyrosine and 500mg a-GPC off and on for several months with noticeable positive effects every time I do. I haven’t really tested its efficacy for skill acquisition, but it definitely has positive benefits on task management for me.

Hi, great, thanks for bringing up phenylpiracetam, I didn’t know much about this compound and it’s awesome that you mentioned it!

While looking into it, I found an interesting article that directly compares pramiracetam and phenylpiracetam:
👉 Pramiracetam vs Phenylpiracetam – A Comprehensive Effectiveness Review
https://muscleandbrawn.com/blog/pra...ffectiveness-review-of-the-two-best-racetams/

Phenylpiracetam: acts quickly, with a rather stimulating, energizing, and pro-motivation effect. It’s often described as a “booster” for task management and alertness, with the added benefit of being neuroprotective (shielding brain cells, supporting overall brain health).

Pramiracetam: much more subtle but also more steady and long-lasting. Less euphoric, but provides deep and stable concentration, mainly supporting working memory and long-term consolidation.

In summary, the first one shines for immediate performance and resistance to fatigue, while the second is more of a tool for intensive learning and study consistency.

Honestly, I find the comparison very relevant. The two don’t really oppose each other; they can actually be seen as complementary depending on the goal:

  • Need a quick boost to get tasks done → Phenylpiracetam
  • Need stable cognition and durable memory → Pramiracetam
