Just recently fucked up my right hand, i slept in a pretty retarded position and woke up to a dead wrist (all of my primary passions are unfortunately revolve around hand usage and high degrees of dexterity).
RNP stops the forearm extensor muscles from working, effecting ability to lift fingers/thumb and wrist.
It happened roughly a week ago and i noticed improvement at first, numbness on top of ring/middle finger up to the middle knuckle has completely resolved, however remains in the same fashion on the index around the curve down to and through the top of the thumb.
Slight range of motion improvements, however extensor muscles dont seem to really be coming back online, so i got it checked a couple days ago.
My doctor pretty directly told me it's going to need surgery.
This would be my first surgery and i'm a bit nervous about it, especially considering how important being able to use my hands to the highest capacity is to me.
I'm curious IN GENERAL and this goes for anyone who has had surgery on wrist/arms:
- if surgery, what was the diagnosis and how did recovery turn out?
- if gone through the same, insight and recommendations?
- recommendations for supplementing/etc in the long run (alongside phys. therapy) to assure the most efficient return of function.
Much love DeeBG fa, <3. hope everyone is well.
