How do reaction scores work with vendors? How are they rated? Does it have to do with their messaging back and fourth with members? Lmk

We need a WTF emoji. 😂
Agreed! That may end up being the most used on here as of late 🤣. Also, having a thumbs down reaction, or a way to track negative reactions vs positive reactions.

Because to your point, someone could have 200 “WTF” reactions, but only 1 “Like” reaction because they post absolute nonsense. Yet other members would sinply see a reaction score of 201 unless they really wanted to dig and see the total # of each.

Hahaha… good point. And a lot of nonsense posts just don’t have any reactions aside from maybe one from someone trying to boost their score, and they don’t read the posts 😂

and then there is the passive aggressive use of emoji vs sincere use. Like when I use the “confused” emoji, I really mean “that’s not what I heard!”

Yeah I forget the rules but I think it’s either posts or reaction scores that dictate privileges in the beginning? Like how many DMs you can send or something. I completely forget. Other than that I look at absence of reactions as “no one wants to co-sign it.” But only if it’s a post with strong opinions expressed.

Yep I’m right there with you on using certain emojis as a ways to express differing opinions!

And that’s so interesting, tbh I had no clue that was even a thing. Someone needs to slap me on the wrist and tell me to go reread the DBG rules like I tell others to do 😆.

At the end of the day, some added chat functionality would be nice, but I get that this isn’t FB or IG we’re working with here, so I can only be so critical LOL

lol don’t feel bad! I had totally forgotten about it too and still don’t remember and it’s probably changed since I was starting out. But I know u gotta put in some work to get privileges which makes sense.

So it’s relevant in a practical functional sense but not really relevant when you’re assessing the credibility of a post. Because I’ve seen likes on posts where someone is just being an asshole to a new member for asking a question. And not an annoying question like “where is the vendors email address?” When I see a passive aggressive reply and laughing emoji reactions, that bothers me. Wow that’s so cool to make someone feel dumb. Thumbs up! Hahaha.

  3. C @ Cheesus: Nah, the crossroads is that old camper where you can buy meth. The devil moved to down by the river
  4. R @ rasetreydir: But we could go on at length if we start with the 27. Eerie coincidences? Sold their souls perhaps? At the crossroads?....lol
  5. R @ rasetreydir: There's a certain mystique that great artists/writers/musicians created because of their untimely deaths: Mozart, Chopin, Hemingway. Maybe they were here just to share their talents with the world. Having a gift like that is a blessing, but also probably a burden.
  6. A @ AnnaSofia: You got the right @rasetreydir most of my fave poets fit the description, yet I think we look at ones like that through a different lens bc of the curiosity and a mystery and human nature to want what u can’t have more of... Sylvia Plath, Emily Dickinson, Poe. Don’t get me started on writers with guitars 😂
  7. R @ rasetreydir: AnnaSofia Perhaps you need frustration and a tortured psyche to write like that, though i wouldn't wish that upon anyone. Yet doesn't it seem like a lot the truly gifted and eternal artists, musicians, composers, writers, thinkers, etc all pass away young? Like the '27' club?
  8. A @ AnnaSofia: Dylan Thomas was brilliant I agree… he’s one of those writers where I read it and think why couldn’t I come up with that?! 😂
