New here so I know I won't get much help and going thru all the posts and deciphering all the codes is more time then I have.  So i decided to just go with the Starlite.  My question is... Is anyone having trouble with non encrypted e-mails to them?

@mcsemiked

You may be new here, and I'm not a big poster myself; but have to say any vendors (or buyers, come to that) still using Gmail, whose bots now reads each email content is asking for trouble at some point.

Yahoo etc are not much better and will no doubt follow Gmail lead in due course, it's astonishing the lengths we go to here to write 'diplomatically' here; only to throw all that diplomacy down the drain by typing it out on free, but highly unsecured email services.

There is no shortage of free encrypted e-mail services if one searches a little, so without being disrespectful to anyone, I think it's time we all started using them for the overall good and safety of us all.

Is Firefox any better than Google or is there something better? Not very wise with this stuff. I've heard of Opera. But am sure there's more out there.

I use Proton mail on my iPhone....

Ok I will get rid of Firefox and install Opera. Thanks for letting me know...

Hey guys - Original member of DB that just found we are back up - I tried to message starlite as they carry what I'm looking for (using protonmail) and haven't received a response.. Does anyone know their average turn around time? I used the 1st email they had listed on their site.. should I also send another one to their secondary?

TIA

Tess

Also on Opera, the best feature is the free VPN.  Just click on incognito browsing (won't save history) and than go to VPN and it will bounce your signal through Russia or elsewhere so that your IP cannot be tracked.  As far as I know Opera is the only browser offering it for free.
I use Firefox and have to pay for my VPN... I'm pretty sure you're right.

Ok so I installed Opera and used duck duck go and I couldn't get into this site. Kept saying error I don't have permission to go here. Now I uninstalled Opera and put back Firefox and get in under the privacy tab with no problems. Did I do something wrong? I really would like to have the Opera as it also has a encrypted wallet.

Won't let me log in
While on Opera go to DBG then save DBG as a favorite on speed dial, login, when it asks to save password click save and you should be all set.  I should mention, if you are going to use DDgo, just copy & paste the DBG address and see how it works for ya then.

Always use a paid for vpn. What Opera offers is a "browser based" vpn and it's not secure by any means. If you go to qualy's browser check while connected you will see what i mean.

+1 one on using VPN. For many reasons. They are cheap and can be some protection for users. not foolproof but make it harder to track you at least.

You can also set up your own VPN on an anonymous VPS that you rent from any number of VPS providers. Some take bitcoin and ask no names.  OpenVPN is the package you'd install on a Linux VPS. It sounds complicated but is really fast, I'm no programmer and I did it in 15-20 minutes. It won't necessarily outperform a commercial VPN but it's all yours, no risk of the VPN host snooping, no "lifetime" deals for a VPN provider that is probably going to fail soon . When I use mine I appear french, and get french language sites. :)   I'll move it to an english speaking country at some point.

I pay $4 per month. So price is comparable. Can be used by mobile and home clients just like the commercial providers.

Anyone familiar with hotspot VPN.  Can't seem to connect to SL and another site once I've fired it up?

I don't know if anyone still needs help with this, but there are some great encrypted email sites I know of that are mostly free! if there's a way to direct message me do it and I will fill y'all in!

  2. S @ soupson: What happened to chem genie?
  3. D @ drdrizzy13: LSU is trash and has always been trash but a night game in death valley is unlike anything I've experienced. Except the first game back to the superdome reopened after Katrina destroyed it. Everybody was crying and drunk as shit lol. All time favorite in person sports moment ever.
  4. M @ meepmoopmeep: Kiffin is a traitor and he and LSU deserve each other since they’re both complete trash
  5. D @ drdrizzy13: yea he's a joke lol. Can't stand him.
  6. L @ Layne_Cobain: You know who rly sucks…lane kiffin 😂 dude is all that’s wrong with college sports or at least a big chunk of it…and he lied about being told he could still coach ole miss in the playoffs
  7. D @ drdrizzy13: Hey at least Ole Miss got in. I can't stand LSU. They really sucked this year.
  8. M @ meepmoopmeep: as an A&M fan I’m content with us missing the SECCG for that reason. Georgia about to fuck Alabama up
  9. D @ drdrizzy13: Yeah I agree if bama loses I think they are out. That would be 3 losses. I don't see a 3 loss team getting in this year.
  10. L @ Layne_Cobain: Yeah that’s why sark was pleading his case about that Texas shouldn’t be punished for scheduling a non conference game against the best team and losing if they hadn’t done that they’d probably be in but oh well way it goes there’s always gonna be a few teams who get robbed or feel they got robbed even with a 12 team playofff…if bama loses to Georgia I’d think they’d be out but who knows
  11. D @ drdrizzy13: Alabama also lost to Florida State pretty bad. Whom Florida beat. I just think if they didn't decide to play ohio state the first game. They would be in with 2 losses instead of Alabama.
  12. M @ meepmoopmeep: @drdrizzy13 Texas lost to Florida of all teams, they weren’t heading for the playoffs anyways imo. At least not this year
  13. D @ drdrizzy13: Texas is offically out of the playoffs they didn't make the top 12. I do wish they were in it. They showed up against Texas AM. But there fatal flaw was scheduling Ohio State for their opening. Which would have been great if they won but they are a 3 loss team now.
  14. L @ Layne_Cobain: Yeah idk about arch I could see him staying with Sark for another year but if he plays rly well in the playoff who knows that is if they get in
  15. D @ drdrizzy13: Man a lot of Saints fan want Arch but I think he said he is playing another year. I would take him probably. But if Texas AM QB comes out or Ohio State's I think you gotta take one if your picking top 2.
  16. L @ Layne_Cobain: Is the qb class supposed to be stacked or thin for draft in April I follow college ball but I can’t think right now I think there’s def at least a few high potential qb declaring
  17. D @ drdrizzy13: Right now I believe we pick 2nd. ATM.
  18. D @ drdrizzy13: At first I figured he might be able to do something but our position players suck. We are playing a rookie QB. O-line sucks. It needs to be blown up. I hope we tank for the first pick
  19. L @ Layne_Cobain: Hopefully you guys maybe find a solid qb option in the draft you should end up with a very good pick
  20. L @ Layne_Cobain: Yeah dude Moore def does not seem like the guy for yall need to clean house
