Shopping!

It's by Maybelline. I got the neutralizer color and have been enjoying it. Just don't rub your eyes after you put it on. Feels bad in your eyeballs.

I also tried a new Clarisonic type facial cleansing system by Revlon. Much less expensive. Good, but not as good as the Clarisonic. Pretty much what I expected.

I used it with my Dior face cleanser and then used the Peter Thomas Roth Camu Camu Sleeping Mask as my night moisturizer. Hope this isn't too rich for my skin. I really prefer anti-aging AND anti-acne combo products. One of my favorite lines is by Revive. It's expensive, but has great products in the line.

I could go on and on...

Please tell us more about Revive and any wonderful haircare products you have tried lately. I'm going shopping this weekend girls! I am so glad you started this discussion, I love new things but always hesitate if I don't have feedback from someone who has used them. Also if you have any preference on a really great foundation makeup. I have used MAC forever but it's not working for me anymore...

Revive is known for its great exfoliator products and light serums. The products start about mid $50's and run into $3-400. You can find it in places like Saks 5th Ave, maybe Nordstrom or Bloomingdales. Never seen it at Ulta or Sephora.

Foundation-wise I've got a few I really like.

Make Up Fo Ever (MUFE) makes a good HD liquid foundation AND a great full coverage pressed powder (can be used wet or dry)

Dr. Lewinn's BB cream is super nice. You can get this at Walmart. But I recommend using a Beauty Blender (wet) for flawless application.

As far as highlighting and contouring (HAC) goes, I'm digging a compact from NARS with Orgasm/Laguna colors. Available at Sephora.

Hair products!!

If you're not using a dry shampoo at least once or twice a week I'm gonna spank you ladies! Second day hair is AWESOME! Phillip Kingsley, Batiste and others make awesome dry shampoos that breathe life and lift into second day hair and absorbs any oil. So great!

I'll check on the oil I use of the ends of my hair and let you know what it's called. I forgot, as it's a new brand for me. But I like how it's protecting my hair as I grow it out (it's about high chest length right now)

I spent all afternoon curating products for an anti-aging feature I'm writing, so I should have some additional information on that soon!

I love Bobbi Brown under eye corrector first and then concealer. Tarte blush is the best! Nars bronser

Thanks for the information FYB.  I remember back in the day when you could get free samples that were impressive.  I especially loved those little vials of pricey perfumes they'd hand out.  They were so cool and fit easily in a purse.

Yeah, basically my feelings about samples is that they are good...anytime, unless we're taking 'stools' LLOL ( that's a 'little' laugh) in case you were wondering!

I was out of green arrows so I had to tell you how this made me laugh this morning! Yes, those would be the worst. But love me some free perfume and makeup samples!

Hey there "MLC",

At first I wasn't sure if you were responding to me, that FYB, stumped me for a second.

One thing I thought of when you posted the free perfume comment was, how much I used to despise being misted with perfume by those perfume ladies standing in the cosmetics isles.

I think they finally realized that no one wants to be be accosted by a foreign person wielding some mystery odor in a bottle.

Haven't seen those in a while, guess they got the drift...pun intended.

I havn't bought makeup for years but I need under eye concealer bad.  My sis who's much richer than me says "cle de peau" is the best but it's $70!!!!  Cant do that.  Anyone know of any good ones cheaper?

Yesterday I bought vanilla chex and smart food popcorn.
Prep H ointment, not the cream.  Did makeup in the theater at one time in NYC...

Hi everyone...I'm normally posting the intl phar forum area...but was wondering if anyone from UK could give me a suggestion for an online pharmacy drugstore that sells...(drumroll please) max factor lipsticks, specifically lipfinity. They stopped selling all MF cosmetics in USA about 4 years ago. Yeah Ive bought them on ebay, amazon, and Love Cosmetics, but only limited colors are sold at each site annd for the shipping price id rather buy all my fav colors at once. And...I'm open to other brands that are UK exclusive but its only the superlasting 2 step type I'm considering. I may eventually see if anyone wants to swap remailing services later this year if $$$ permits more shopping. Anyways, thanks for reading.

I've also look at boots and lloyds but either they don't sell that type or they don't ship to the United States.

Same with me with Mac still like their lip stain that's it, love Nars, but fake awake is my new fave! God I love sephora, best invention in the world to put every product you can find in one store! My husband hates it, I can easily spend a few hundred dollars being in there for twenty minutes, he always tries to no avail to shop around the mall without seeing it, but it's right next to Buckle, so he does not stand a chance!

  4. ClintEastwood @ ClintEastwood: Robert Duvall and a handful of others were a younger actors coach and always said no one worked as hard as those guys did. Robert Duvall and rest would read the full script 228 over and over, then after the last read they would go into how to perform their character. The young man had made it to meet Al who are greats and pull them to the side. And explain what his coach said. They all looked back and said out of every role you’ve seen me in. I have read it 228 by myself. 🫡 🫢 🫢 🫢
  5. ClintEastwood @ ClintEastwood: Sorry for comment below, but I couldn’t delete. Know I see the

  7. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Damn. Just heard Robert Duvall passed away Sunday. That’s a tough one. He’s one of my favorite actors. From Lonesome Dove to the Godfather and many others. We will miss you Mr Duvall. You entertained us for 7 decades. RIP

  10. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: I always thought I should’ve been born in a much earlier time but I will say, i do enjoy my Xbox and occasional TV series tho 😂
  11. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: I just wish the opioid epidemic never happened. Fk the turn of the century (which would be cool no doubt)! Many of my friends and family would’ve ended up in asylums like so many others. I just wish I could get back all those I’ve lost since the start
  12. L @ Layne_Cobain: 1914 I meant
  13. L @ Layne_Cobain: I often wish I lived during the turn of the century or at least before the Harrison narcotics act or whatever I think it was 1924 the fun ended but anyway yeh being able to get laudanum, ❄️ and amphetamine at the local friendly pharmacy
  14. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Chew on the leaves with a bit of slaked lime and enjoy the mild boost you get from the raw base.
  15. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I’m sure you know the folks in the mountainous regions along South Americas pacific side buy cócà leaves at the local farmers market just to help acclimate to the higher elevation when they have to head up into the hills.
  16. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I would certainly have bought it, swilled it, enjoyed it…. Why not? A little boost in your juice isn’t going to hurt anyone.
  17. R @ Royboy99: Exports were reported to have around 7.2mg per FL OZ, it’s success is what actually led to Coca Cola
  18. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Having cramps and husband thinks you’re acting hysterical (ie. PMS) the doc would either perform a certain massage to relieve the strains of motherhood and family life of that time or send you down to the local apothecary for a bottle of laudanum… A tincture of alcohol and 10% òpìųm. Fun days huh?
  19. R @ Royboy99: @malestrom: yeah thats it, my bad Mariani, yeah i considered that and also its ROA, which was oral so the bioavailability was lower than insufflation, higher degree of purity tho and longer duration … there was a significant marked increase of patents filed by Edison during the time it was released in the US. Presidents were known to use it as well, and the Queen. The pope awarded the wine the Vatican gold medal award
  20. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I think it was called vin Mariani. But yeah, it was all the rave back in the turn to the 20th century. Original formula Coca Cola did it for a while too. I think it was pretty weak though. Something like 200 mg per liter of wine. Enough to maybe give you a little push but unless you could pound some serious alcohol, it’d be hard to really feel the effects before the ethyl knocked you down on the ground. It was an interesting time period. Laudanum was a “hysterical” woman’s best friend.
