Signing For Package

Hey folks! I live in a very rural forest here in SE, USA where the USPS drivers won’t drive to our house, (one way dirt road) and only leaves packages a mile away on the main road with a row of mailboxes. From what I gather, to be able to get a tracking number from practically any vendor.. I would need to sign for the package. They will leave a yellow slip normally and I’ll have to go into my local PO to sign and pick up said packages. Call me paranoid but I simply don’t feel comfortable going in and signing. Do you guys think I’m being major paranoid about this? In the past, I’ve told vendors to just send package with no tracking and have been somewhat but certainly not always successful in receiving my subscription. Maybe I’m overthinking it.. perhaps there is a way to get tracking without having to sign but so far had no luck. Thoughts?

Where I live even from a place that I was told requires a Signature had the Mail Man just drop the Package off on my front porch which they always do. I guess it depends on the Location you live etc. cause in a different province a family member says they will ring the doorbell but leave so quickly you don't even see them when you open the door right away.

I thought I had replied to this earlier. My rule is to never sign, no matter what. Tell them to send that shit back to the sender because you don’t know who it’s from. If I got a random package, shit could be poison from someone who hates me. Fuck that, never sign unless you know good and well what you’re signing for and are willing to take possession of the contents, which could be god knows what. I’d only sign if it was something like my wife ordering a dress and it’s coming from a company like TJ max or wherever people order dresses from.

My family and I are safe ATM. @mellowella thank you, but they cleaned me out. the shelves are empty but I'm hoping to call in some favors to restock ASAP. @xenxra I will reach out to set up a secure comms channel for us. Thanks again all. Yesterday was tough, but the support I've received from those I can share is with has been a Godsend.
  11. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Mad love to you and your family @CalFresh
  12. xenxra @ xenxra: @CalFresh if you are able to DM me (in a secure manner) the transactions associated with your btc theft, i can look into that part for you at least. i;m still 99% certain if the fbi didn't discard my leads they could have gotten some of my coins back and considering you had your coins stolen within the us, you have a much better chance of recovery than me. unless they went through mixers i could probably trace them myself.
  13. O @ Outsider9173: @CalFresh Haven't been here long but I want to wish you a fast recovery

  18. mellowella @ mellowella: I will always remember what you did for me the very first time I donated. I have been waiting to pay that kindness forward.
  19. mellowella @ mellowella: @CalFresh are you and your family safe? You’ve helped me in a pinch and were more than generous, and I’m sure you’ve helped others. How can we help you? Does it help at all if we completely buy out what’s left? Maybe that gives time and funds to restock and rebuild? I don’t want to break any rules here, but please let us know if we can do anything. All on your time of course.
  20. CalFresh @ CalFresh: thanks guys. I'm pulling together what I have left and leaning on the kindness of folks who support me to restock my shelves so that I can keep the lights on. Having my savings drained and my security vanish in an instant is paralyzing and the repercussions will only be realized in the coming days and weeks. for now I'm just trying to stay focused on the immediate priorities for ensuring this doesn't. cause cataclysmic failure to the life I've built for my children and I.
