I have been on Suboxone for almost 5 years.  I also have a severe anxiety disorder.  I was seeing a shrink that is 1 hour from my house and he was able to provide me with my Subs and also with Klonopin to help with anxiety.  So I was not able to make that 1 hour drive every month due to losing my drivers license, so I had to find a new Dr. in my town to get the Suboxone.  I told him that I have this anxiety disorder and he said "your former Dr. is a idiot. I will never give you Klonopin with Suboxone".  He said it's very dangerous to mix the two.  So he has tried me on several different meds that have no effect on the anxirty AT ALL!  Also he said if I want to get an Benzo anxiety meds I will have to see a Shrink but if I do I will have to stop getting my Subs from him because he will not write them.  I finally found a shrink in my town that does do the Suboxone Program and hopefully he will be able to help me with the anxiety as well, I HOPE.  I just wonder if anyone else has had this problem while being on Suboxone.  Thanks for letting me share this!  Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everyone!

 ok do research 90 percect of people on bupe take benzos shit i kno people on 200mg of methadone and a benzo script

 
I'd maybe try to ween down on those subs after that much time but that's just me... and you do realize you can find multiple sites throughout this forum that you could get k pins from right? I would recommend one of the airmail groups they're great with prices, delivery times, etc.. I'm gonna give TTM a shot soon as well since they have so much positive feedback.

But mainly if you were taking the k pins with your subs for all those years and you were healthy and feeling good then f*ck this 'new' doctor you have and get what you need online.

look are stories are exactly  the same these drs take a 6 hour 1 day course and bam there certfide to play god if they even think ur opiates scripts are too much it happends too a ton of people but the most resent push come from siu hospital  were they said they found all of there  bupe or sub patients who had a benzo script  were shooting them up and dying or have permanent brain damage its all bs its a flipping control m mechanism  if u didn't most sub doctors love control  of ur life

 
ive had a similar problem my doctor took me straight of the benzo wen i started on the meth program, im now fighting to get back onto both as my diaz use is beginning to get outa hand nw that im left to self medicate. its silly because i know il eventually get both scripts

 
I am not a doctor so what I say should be considered in that light:

Doctor's forbidding the mixture of benzo's and Sub is an unfortunate side-effect of a highly publicized series of overdoses in Europe around 2003 or so when people injected bupe and benzos, which is quite a dangerous practice.  If you go to suboxone.com you will see lots of warnings about mixing the two but in practice, taken using the proper route of administration and in a therapeutic dosage the combination is quite safe.  Physicians who understand the actual drug interaction and know the patient don't usually have a problem with patients who need both but many are just quacks who took the eight-hour course to take financial advantage of patients who need both therapies to succeed in their recovery.

Finding a good Sub doctor can take time but it's worth the effort as in the end you will be getting much more than just a doctor but someone who can coach you through what potentially could be the most difficult thing you do in life but also the most rewarding.   If you are in the US you s/b able to find a doctor on naabt.org through the physician matching system.

Don't know about suboxone but mdonw definitely adds a little kick to benzos as well as the drug it's supposed to treat

I'm sorry, but what's "mdonew?"   Do you mean m3th@done?   If so I just want to mention that I came close to OD years ago self-medicating that combo.   Just be careful especially if you don't have a lot of experience with 'done.  You can easily OD.  There is no ceiling effect as there is with Sub and sometimes people take a second dose in a 24-hour period for a little bump and end up in the ER or worse due to severe respiratory depression..

Just MHO for what it's worth.

I think he means mdone PR. Everyone I know who takes methadone has a klonopin script.

 
I never understood how the way to get a person off of benzos or pain medications is by giving them something that essentially gets them high and in the case of methodone EXTREMELY high.

 
I'm currently on 80 ml daily pick up of done and now here in England you no longer see a doctor but go down the drug n alcohol community route and see there friendly doctor . There doctor is like a prison doctor they know two words NO and PARECETMOL the word diazepam or any pam for that matter is a swear word it simply ain't happening,and if you push they say it's drug seeking behaviour I have given them 49 clean oral screens and 3 clean urine screens over 14 months and I'm not allowed to pick up my done even every other day I have to go every day which lost me a 6 month work contract in my opinion if your on done or subtext / suboxone in England ya will struggle to get any benzo and it's easier to just self medicate . At least ya don't have to jump through people's hoops the same people that wouldn't know a blue or a £10 bag if it slapped em in the face .

just been reading some of the us fellas have to pay daily for there done n such shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit one fellas paying $400 a month. il never slag the nhs again.....

 
I tried to get a sub program and was denied due to Klon use. They were adamant I do not mix the two.

 
I used to take subs and b3nz many times and because I do have a very high tolerance to the bees, I never had a problem but I never took more than I was supposed to and it was prescribed by my doctor. If you do what is right you will be fine.

 
I took subs and Val Kilmer for many years without any problems. Never more then 15mg Val, but for a while I was on 16mg sub.

I wouldn't mix booze into the occasion or you'll most likely not remember what you did when you wake up. I know I didn't.

Been a very sad few days but 2 complete (irl anyway) strangers cared enough about what I was going through to talk to me about it, though they owe me nothing and have no reason to help my personal pain other than the kindness in their own hearts. Just shows that this place is a real community, not just a forum of people who only care about themselves.
