Thanksgiving is right around the corner...... You can answer as many times as you want but do it one at a time ......Let us all take a chance to tell what we are thankful for....

I will start:  I am thankful to be alive.
After the Monday I had, it seemed like a great time to revisit this one!!

I'm incredibly thankful to have more than a handful of wonderful and amazing people that not only like me, but do so knowing all of my human flaws.

It can be difficult to center oneself sometimes enough to remember that what might seem like a disaster or far beyond our power to remedy, can and usually does, have a solution.

I am really good at getting caught up in the moment of initial emotions, losing sight of the bigger picture.

It is a pure BLESSING that no one event can rob anyone of everything they have to be thankful for...although it sometimes seems that you've lost everything in a flash, there is always something left to inventory and be thankful for.

Peace

Beranda

@hooter I love it! /default_smile.png. Today I am thankful for the roof over my head, thankful that I am still able to get out of bed. ( sometimes that can be sketchy). Thankful that my 14 year old ( who just got his learner permit ) drove us safely home from Walmart last night! Tee hee! No he actually did a great job! But I am a little melancholy as my family lives quite a ways from the rest of the relatives, and my mom will be spending thanksgiving alone, and it's her birthday also. If she just had a iPhone so we could FaceTime! ( that's what I should have gotten her for her bday! Just had an epiphany! /default_smile.png

Oh my GOD ! There are so many I am thankfull for right now ... I will stick with the important ones. I am thankfull for my family, for my health and also I am thankful to our Lord for helping me and saving my soul this year which was one the worse years of my life. I have been suffering a lot after my divorce after a 9 years relationship. I am thankfull for the help and support I have received. Its a wonder how fast someone can recover if they find the right person! Its amazing ! This is what I am thankfull for!

Having been a person who lost everything at one point, I am grateful for all I am given.
A quote by Dalai Lama said that when you practice gratefulness, there is a sense of respect toward others. And I believe no truer words have been spoken. I am especially grateful for the kindness of strangers, especially on this forum. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday.

DP,

Your post reminds me that I am thankful for the willingness to forgive.

Nothing bogs down a soul more than a grudged heart and mind.

Leading by example may have been what 'Mom' tried to teach us, but I think when we can let go and forgive we find that we are more open to goodness and acceptance.

I'm thankful that I can say, write and mean that today; it wasn't always so.

I'm thankful that both of my parents are healthy and happily married to other people. After watching 3 if my friends go through the death of a parent this year I'm so happy that both of mine are alive and well. They may hate each other and love drama but they are both here.

Yep, Auntie - you have the right idea! We just finished our feast, and many comments were made about " how Grandpa loved stuffing" and " how Grandma's pumpkin pie was the best". Really good memories, but just that, memories. Treasure them, and let them know you love em while you have them, cuz one thing is certain: time flies! :-)

  1. D @ drdrizzy13: The transfer portal has turned big conferences especially the SEC more like trading players. And they need to fix the NIL deals. Not really fair for one player to get 7 mil and his teammate getting 1k. It's corrupted college football..
  2. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: @Layne_Cobain Lets go boyyyyyy!
  3. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Happy Football Sunday! Leggo Ravens baby.
  4. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Bulldogs take the cake - Kiffin deserves to play in a place called Death Valley - Man how I used to love Saturdays in the fall. But College Football is dead. My prediction? Transfer portal and NIL with million dollar “salaries” mean NCAA Football becomes the defacto NFL D league except they’re all free agents. To compete, Superconfrences are going to continue to consolidate, privatize or go corporate, and the NCAA can go back to worrying about title IXX and Women’s volleyball and such.
  5. D @ drdrizzy13: I think they'll probably win it all.
  6. D @ drdrizzy13: Georgia way too dominate
  7. M @ meepmoopmeep: i think most of us expected it but not how badly it went down
  8. M @ meepmoopmeep: Alabama got SPANKED
  9. L @ Layne_Cobain: Down goes Alabama WOW hahah goodbye playoffs who gets in now instead vandy? I gotta look at rankings now
  10. D @ drdrizzy13: SEC championship game next. This game is kind of boring.
  11. L @ Layne_Cobain: Happy weekend mofos enjoy the football @tiquanunderwood and everyone else
  12. G @ globby: happy Saturday
  13. P @ ponglenis: @Dr-Octagon, hey I remember you from another forum, way back in the day
  14. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: How about that curling team huh? Give it up
  15. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: Top o tha Marnin
  16. Professor_ @ Professor_: Good morning Guys
  17. T @ Tinyfishnemo: Hope everyone has a good and safe weekend.
  18. T @ tylerderrden: Dunno
  19. S @ soupson: What happened to chem genie?
  20. D @ drdrizzy13: LSU is trash and has always been trash but a night game in death valley is unlike anything I've experienced. Except the first game back to the superdome reopened after Katrina destroyed it. Everybody was crying and drunk as shit lol. All time favorite in person sports moment ever.
