Thanksgiving is right around the corner...... You can answer as many times as you want but do it one at a time ......Let us all take a chance to tell what we are thankful for....

I will start:  I am thankful to be alive.
After the Monday I had, it seemed like a great time to revisit this one!!

I'm incredibly thankful to have more than a handful of wonderful and amazing people that not only like me, but do so knowing all of my human flaws.

It can be difficult to center oneself sometimes enough to remember that what might seem like a disaster or far beyond our power to remedy, can and usually does, have a solution.

I am really good at getting caught up in the moment of initial emotions, losing sight of the bigger picture.

It is a pure BLESSING that no one event can rob anyone of everything they have to be thankful for...although it sometimes seems that you've lost everything in a flash, there is always something left to inventory and be thankful for.

Peace

Beranda

@hooter I love it! /default_smile.png. Today I am thankful for the roof over my head, thankful that I am still able to get out of bed. ( sometimes that can be sketchy). Thankful that my 14 year old ( who just got his learner permit ) drove us safely home from Walmart last night! Tee hee! No he actually did a great job! But I am a little melancholy as my family lives quite a ways from the rest of the relatives, and my mom will be spending thanksgiving alone, and it's her birthday also. If she just had a iPhone so we could FaceTime! ( that's what I should have gotten her for her bday! Just had an epiphany! /default_smile.png

Oh my GOD ! There are so many I am thankfull for right now ... I will stick with the important ones. I am thankfull for my family, for my health and also I am thankful to our Lord for helping me and saving my soul this year which was one the worse years of my life. I have been suffering a lot after my divorce after a 9 years relationship. I am thankfull for the help and support I have received. Its a wonder how fast someone can recover if they find the right person! Its amazing ! This is what I am thankfull for!

Having been a person who lost everything at one point, I am grateful for all I am given.
A quote by Dalai Lama said that when you practice gratefulness, there is a sense of respect toward others. And I believe no truer words have been spoken. I am especially grateful for the kindness of strangers, especially on this forum. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday.

DP,

Your post reminds me that I am thankful for the willingness to forgive.

Nothing bogs down a soul more than a grudged heart and mind.

Leading by example may have been what 'Mom' tried to teach us, but I think when we can let go and forgive we find that we are more open to goodness and acceptance.

I'm thankful that I can say, write and mean that today; it wasn't always so.

I'm thankful that both of my parents are healthy and happily married to other people. After watching 3 if my friends go through the death of a parent this year I'm so happy that both of mine are alive and well. They may hate each other and love drama but they are both here.

Yep, Auntie - you have the right idea! We just finished our feast, and many comments were made about " how Grandpa loved stuffing" and " how Grandma's pumpkin pie was the best". Really good memories, but just that, memories. Treasure them, and let them know you love em while you have them, cuz one thing is certain: time flies! :-)

  10. B @ bigblueallda: @drjimmy1964 lol I am actually surprised it is a real ID. I needed those documents because my license had been expired for over a year and I had to start all over. Nothing was in the system. It was a huge mess. I had no clue I was signing up for Real ID. They asked me for the exact same documents that I needed for a State ID Card.
  11. S @ soupson: bless your heart buddy. no sense of grammar or proper insults/jokes. you need this place in ways i can’t comprehend
  12. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: Sweet Ol' Me asked about Real ID, Stoup. Are you responsive to emails ? LMAO

  14. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @bigblueallda You win. I am lost. Thought you were surprised your license was a Real ID, now you say you provided those items.
  15. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @bigblueallda I was under the impression that you'd need all of the points to get a real ID . I'd check it's validity if you're gonna fly domestic any time soon, just to make sure. Not to tell you what to do, sorry -
  16. B @ bigblueallda: @drjimmy1964 In my state to get a Real ID, I need SS card, Birth Certificate and two proofs of residency. Which I am positive I had to provide to get a new ID when it had been expired.
  17. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @Turbo259 advertising - putting in writing for example an negative action to show they are guilty prior to taking action.
  18. B @ bigblueallda: I haven't flown in an airplane in 20 years lol. Can't recall the last government building I have been in either. According to the symbol it tells me I should have on my ID to make it a Real ID I do have one in my state
