Unsure if this is the right forum for this, sorry mods.
Have you tried them or other peptides? Any good librarians on the forums here? Just started today with the selank and semax nasal sprays from a stateside vendor. Starting on a low dose and seeing how that works for the first week or two. 300 mics on the Semax and 200 for the Selank once a day might bump it twice a day after that. Saw some good results with Nooept and am excited to see how the fancier peps work.
Welcome to the fascinating world of nootropic peptides! I'm genuinely excited that someone else on DBG is interested in peptides & cognitive enhancement, so I'll take the opportunity lol.
Noopept is an excellent primer, but Semax and Selank operate on an entirely different level of cognitive enhancement. Your starting protocol is incredibly well-thought-out. Here is a breakdown of their elegant synergy, the various forms available, and how to optimize your regimen.
The Synergy: Accelerator and Brakes
These two compounds create an exceptional "flow state" by perfectly balancing one another:
Semax: Think of this as the accelerator. A derivative of ACTH, it heavily upregulates Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), enhancing neuroplasticity, sustained focus, and learning capacity.
Selank: This acts as the suspension. A synthetic analog of tuftsin, it gently modulates GABA and serotonin. It provides profound stress resilience and emotional grounding without the sedation or brain fog typical of traditional anxiolytics.
When combined, Selank smooths the raw stimulation of Semax, resulting in a calm, laser-focused drive.
Structural Variations: Finding the "Ultimate" Form
Both peptides are available in three distinct forms, which alter blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability and enzymatic stability. Personally, I prefer the N-Acetyl versions of both compounds at a bare minimum, while the N-Acetyl Amidate versions represent their "ultimate" forms to me.
Standard: The original Russian formulations. They provide a solid baseline of cognitive clarity and anxiety relief but possess relatively short half-lives.
N-Acetyl (NA): The addition of an acetyl group increases lipophilicity, allowing much more efficient passage through the BBB. This results in a faster, more pronounced onset.
N-Acetyl Amidate (NAA): By adding an amide group to the C-terminus, the peptide is protected from rapid enzymatic degradation. This is the most potent, stable, and longest-lasting iteration, offering a remarkably smooth, all-day effect.
Administration and Dosing Mechanics
Intranasal administration is highly preferred for both. Peptides are fragile and easily destroyed by gastric acid; the nasal mucosa provides a highly bioavailable, direct route to the brain via the olfactory nerve.
Starting Protocol: Your regimen of 300mcg (Semax) and 200mcg (Selank) once daily is a perfect, responsible baseline to assess your unique neurochemistry.
Titration: Bumping to twice daily (e.g., morning and early afternoon) after the first week is a standard and highly effective progression.
Target Range: Most researchers find their optimal sweet spot between 200mcg and 600mcg per dose.
Evaluating Nasal Spray Formulations
When sourcing your peptides, keep an eye on a few critical quality markers:
Concentration: Always calculate the dose per spray based on total milligrams versus bottle volume. For context, 30mg of peptide in a 10ml bottle usually yields roughly 300mcg per standard 0.1ml spray.
Storage: Peptides rapidly degrade under heat and UV light. Ensure your vendor ships with cold packs, and always store your active bottles in the refrigerator to maintain stability.
Preservatives: A quality spray should utilize deionized water alongside a safe preservative, such as bacteriostatic water or a trace amount of benzyl alcohol, to prevent microbial growth.
Enjoy the journey into peptide research! Maintain that low starting dose for the first week, meticulously track your subjective effects, and titrate upward organically.

So, I’ve been getting more interested in these… I have been trying to find out more about Adamax and Adalank. Is AdaMax just the NAA version of Semax and Adalank would be NAA Selank? Other forums, and various AI has given me wildly differing answers. Heck, Gemini told me “yes, they are the same.” And “no, they are not the same” in different conversations. Someone has to know, right? Haha. Thinking that the “Ada” is just marketing, maybe?

@nameofuser11:
I donated and I forgot how to get the password. I am a moron. Don't worry I have no plans on becoming a vendor with my stupidity
@nameofuser11:
@st1ckyf1ng4z you're right of course. But being able to purchase with a debit card on a clearnet site with quality labs and low prices will be gone.
@st1ckyf1ng4z:
Especially if they’re using mitragynine as the parent alk to make substitutes. I think it will affect plain leaf too at the very least it will not be as available as it’s been.
@st1ckyf1ng4z:
@MorfineOrfan @nameofuser11 That’s wild. But basic supply/demand tho, right? In my area all the leaf has been pulled off shelves,
J@j00ciiez:
It sucks they're banning sr17. It seems to be a holy grail for many ppl.
@nameofuser11:
To clarify plain leaf kratom is not a part of this ban. Mitragynine might be fine. 7, psuedo,mgm15 and sr1708 are what are on the table to be banned most likely but hopefully just regulated.
@MorfineOrfan:
@st1ckyf1ng4z and yes , there are already indole alkoloids with tweaked scaffolding ready to take the place of 7/mgm, all with mitragynine as their parent alkoloid. The game of wack a mole starts the minute 7 is officially banned. Its 2013 K2 all over
@st1ckyf1ng4z:
@MorfineOrfan Also, it’s just a matter of time before another alternative pops up on the market anyway….
@st1ckyf1ng4z:
@MorfineOrfan I couldn’t agree more, bro. It’s fucked up. I recognize prices will rise, but it will always be available…. Stock up now while you can at least if you’re preferred read is opiates. As an ex-fentanyl addict I won’t ever touch any of that shit again. I remember when I started to see 7oh pop up, I knew it was going to end like this but I can understand getting rid of 7oh/mgm-15/16. With that being said, they should leave plain leaf alone!
@MorfineOrfan:
@st1ckyf1ng4z oh trust, i know that, im helping a pretty big vendor transition, to here and dnm , but prices are going to rise bc of risk. But availability is only part of this whole kratom alks situation. We have a serious problem with society. Last year alcohol killed 178,000 people, last year all other drugs combined killed 69,973 Out of those 38,084 were from opiate/opioids and out of those 0 were killed by 7oh. With these numbers we can see the problem with banning 7oh
@MrFuszy:
Hell i remember when getting 25g of aphip was like 200$ or so
@MrFuszy:
Dude wants $150 for 5g... I told him nahh doggy cmon.
@MrFuszy:
Man im tryin to get this one kat to come off that apvp for 75$
@AlHoffman69:
why does tails always act stupid at stupid times
@st1ckyf1ng4z:
@MorfineOrfan @nameofuser11 @RiftChems @moai Just because they’re “banning/scheduling” something, doesn’t mean it’s not gonna be available. If you know where to look, it won’t be a problem.
