I think that would be an excellent question for your doctor. If you've just gone through invasive surgery, I'm sure they'll be willing to write you a script for something if you're in pain. Unless I misunderstand the question. I hope you feel better.Does anyone know what is the best pain meds for after surgery thyroid cancer? Neck is really sore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree with Two my sister went though same thing. If you are having continued pain you should let you're doc know.
Great to hear. Keep thinking positive. Positive things happen to positive thinkers.I see my cancer doctor today. I'm thinking positive.
So, how did things go, Chris? I've been hoping the best for you. Thanks slammer. I will let you know later. /default_smile.png
Right on! That's so great to hear. What a relief you must feel. All that positive thinking paid off in the end. And no doubt, you'll remain cancer free with the precautionary 6 month check ups.Everything went great. Cancer free. I will be monitored every six months. Thanks for caring.
Hey Chris.... Just so I understand better you say that you're "cancer free." Do you mean that they removed the cancer as your first post kind of alludes to an upcoming operation, or that the doctors did further testing and realized that you were "cancer free?"Thanks Slammer. Talk soon /default_smile.png
Ok, I got ya now. So last week was the body scam from the operation a year ago. And the body scan showed successful results, thus far, that the cancer has been removed. Nevertheless, just to be sure and on the safe side of things, check ups every 6 months are needed to verify that the cancer has not returned. After my operation they did a body scan to make sure the thyroid cells were gone. They were gone and that was good. I have to take thyroid meds every morning for the rest of my life. As for the pain meds I'm taking them for my arm. But I also need them from the surgery. I'm seeing a neurologist Thursday to make sure I don't have trigeminal neuralgia. Sometimes my whole jaw hurts and face. It may be a nerve. But my doctor said as of now I'm cancer free from what the body scan showed. I will go every six months to be checked. It's been along road in the last year. But I'm back at work and things seem to be ok for now.
Thanks Chris, very kind of you, but truthfully Admin deserves the medal for allowing me back on here after the many times, under the influence of meds, have posted crazy weird stuff (have a look at Ditch, my profile name years back or Puzzler), engaged in brutal arguments with since banned members, or throw-in the towel and impolitely said "Close my Account, I'm outta here."You deserve a medal for all the good information you put on this site and help people.
