I've read in a number of threads that some folks tip vendors.  For those that don't mind answering this.. how much and how often?

I sometimes round-up payments, so vendors get a dollar or so extra from me. I don't see it as a tip more of a convenience thing really, especially when converting currency to BTC. I don't think the vendors seek favour, just honest and discrete buyers. We all need each other, vendors, buyers. forum members...Symbiosis...Forgive me probably consumed far too much quality product to be making any sense.

Depending on the vendor and payment method I generally just round up most of the time. There's no need to do so of course.

Every once in a while I throw in an extra $10.  I don't know why other than I would appreciate it and remember it if someone did it for me.

If a vendor has gone above and beyond for me (like special orders) I will throw in an extra $10.

A little bird told me about using a box when sending CIM so recently I've included some holiday chocolates as a tip.

I like that Oz how clever!  Who doesn't want a sweet tip! I'll have to steal that one from you.

I do sometimes. You never know when you're going to need a favor.... like actual overnight shipping.

I tip sometimes, especially when the person has tremendously helped me. But, I also always tip at the usual places, and not so usual places including piZZa hUt carryout and at sUbwAy (I mentioned those since most people I know do NOT tip there). But if the service is phenomenal and they’re going above and beyond, then I’ll def tip. But, that’s just me. And I’m a firm believer in “To each their own”.

I think tipping is corrupt and needs to be done away with everywhere.  I feel like I'm paying twice. The best holidays (and service) I've had were in Asian countries and in Oz where spare change wasn't even accepted by my female taxi driver after she voluntarily carried my luggage from the boot to the hotel lobby.  I used to work for tips as a stripper, and I hated it from that end too.  Employers need to pay all their workers a living wage, and not misclassify them as "independent contractors" or "business owners".  When I got tips onstage, I felt awkward about it, esp on my first day on the job.

I'd never tip the postal worker.  They're usually Feds and get good pay, benefits and jobs security.

I have always tried to tip up even if it’s a buck or 2, especially using bitcoin. Vendors certainly appreciate a nice lagniappe and it’s generally good business practice!

I also have mentioned this issue before.  I got mixes teactions?  Why?  Hell, if you tip for a cup of tea, latte, cuppa, etc  ,wny not tip for something that really improves your life??

All the time, and amount is based on dollar size. Say an order is 280,id just round to 300, for example

Also, its just a personal thing. Say you and a vendor email a bit more, and theyve adsisted in findig you a magazine u really desire. So, i would toss in 20%,or a lil more.

Yep!! It shows appreciation, and these "tips" add up here and there. Leelawadee even uses their extra tips to help other clients who may need some support in buying a magazine. I love her and i love that pay it forward attitude!!

  1. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  2. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  3. aBBazaBBa123 @ aBBazaBBa123: @rockychoc How do I contact you?
  4. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  5. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  6. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  7. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  8. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  9. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  10. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  11. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  12. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  13. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  14. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  15. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  16. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  17. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
  18. Alkazar @ Alkazar: It is INSANE how doctors treat tax paying hard working people like criminals when they ask for opioids. This world just keeps getting more and more backwards. But thanks to this site to be able to find people to help when no one in the medical world will.
  19. L @ Layne_Cobain: Hang in there @Turbo259 life can be such a Fkn sludge prayers and good vibes to you and your loved ones 🙏 ❤️
  20. xenxra @ xenxra: NO ADVERTISING IN THE SHOUTBOX!!!!!
