Tired of the Abusers

more states are introducing legislation to ban Kratom .  They want street junkies and then turn around and blame legit docs and legit ailing people.

Sick system
Kitty heard about Kratom few years ago and as soon as I tried to get some, it was banned... :(

My MIL is a hardcore benz addict, along with everyone's favorite end-of-alphabet anti-anxiety and a few other opioids. Originally prescribed for fibro and anxiety, but she's been taking it all for 40-some years and her tolerance is through the roof. She spends her days counting the minute to the next pill. Docs have tried to wean her off to move her to alternate treatments, but she hits a point where she gets too anxious and starts imagining slights against her by medical staff until she ragequits the practice. Sad thing is, these meds are exacerbating her other conditions, which cause her even more pain and illness. Her QOL is nonexistent. I hope she never finds IOPs. Wouldn't be anything left of her.

Meanwhile, my best friend has bone spurs growing into her spine to the point where she's now wheelchair bound and can't get so much as vick prescribed, much less insurance pay for it. Of course, MIL is wealthy, friend is dirt poor so there's part of the disparity.

I havent read all of these posts too hard to see but I caught the one about heroin use. Heroin use has been on the rise since  you know the war in aphganistan and iraq. thank you bush. Its everywher and getting worse. My brother is an addict and my sister in law died an addict but they did not start by using rx pain medication. I hear this on tv all the time people are doing heroin because they cant get pain medication. or they started using pain medication first. I think its a total lie and makes it hard for people that really need it. But that is just my opinion.
So true.... An addict will go to the streets for their fix. a legit chronic/intractable pain patient will either suffer or commit suicide unfortunately. all the "oopiod" deaths the media loves to report on have been from illiggally obtained street crap mixed with new chineeze chems that are nocking people off. But they don't tell you that.

Hi, my name is Salem! I'm here to introduce myself and TELL you just how bad drug abuse has gotten! Whoa now before you YOU take offense to that, I'm talking about those of who abuse pain mmedication to get high or off on for a thrill! When there is people like me out there who have to take it like OR NOT to move! I DON'T even have an option of surgery, my back is too far gone, the pain medication is just keeping me out of a wheelchair which I already have because my Doctor is preparing for the day. Now today I go see the Doctor as usual and the pharmacy says that Medicaid won't fill my medication without a Doctor's reauthorization do they care I'm IN pain no.Thank you!
Most of us who become addicted to opiates started taking them because of real pain.  When I was 14 years old in 1970 my doctor had me on Dihydrocodeine, Valium, Nembutal, and Miltown. Of course I became addicted. I was an opiate addict before I knew what addicted meant.  I haven’t used a doctor or a Pharmacy since the late 1970’s.. I started doing dope and I’ve been clean since starting Methadone Maintenance years ago.. Don’t blame addicts for the BS that the DEA started because of Fentanyl that’s not even pharmaceutical..

  6. Mom&PopShop @ Mom&PopShop: I'm trying to remember what the texture was like.. I know it came in a pouch like chewing tobacco. I remember it being cut up in strips like shredded chewing tobacco too, was that the case???

  12. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: Don’t message people about things like veterinary care without taking care to mind the rules you two crazy nuts. More at stake than getting bad info or scammed, there’s predators out there looking for bigger fish and will step on a guppy to get to them. Fishing expeditions aren’t just for private citizens enjoying a calm weekend exploring the lake for a fish hookup. Offish of offishial fishing investigations may be looking for the best fishing hole and scare off the big
