Hi all,
Just a general question regarding turn around times… I am an absolute novice at this online game, but due to our local comic book provider shutting up shop due to unreliable suppliers and giving out too much credit, myself and a couple of my mates decided to try to get our own comics without the middle man… so here I am.

My main question is, how long are the turn around times for Australia?? I don’t want to become a nervous Nellie, anxious Annie or worst of all a crying Karen… I understand there are restrictions in the mail industry, but I just want to be a good, reliable customer and if I kind of know the rules… I can stick to them and not be painful penny… any advice for a brand newbie would be greatly appreciated…

I know finding this site was my good thing and donating was my second.

Cheers

Hey, @hauntedraven ... I know I'm still a "Newbie", and haven't donated BTC$ to enhance my status yet, but I've been in this Game a long, long time, so take this fwiw. Getting mags delivered to your area (Australasia) is really problematic, because of your cuss-toms. They are notorious for checking almost everything that isn't directly sent from "certain" You-kay or Eee-you locations. (Or from the You-ess-aye.) Based on my long-term experience, if you get a 50/50 ratio on delivery, you should be grateful.

  2. xenxra @ xenxra: i'm surprised none of the CA-US shops have a notice up about it
  3. Alkazar @ Alkazar: It is really annoying\
  4. Alkazar @ Alkazar: Technically they were forced back to work the last time they went on strike in 2024, so this is the same strike for the same reasons in 2025.
  5. Alkazar @ Alkazar: I dont know how to direct reply to people on here. But the Canada Post strike will affect any mail coming from the US. It will be held at a facility until the striek is over. Mail that is being sent from CAD to the US will just not be picked up. It all has to be private delivery services now.

  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @LW815 from my experience, CP strikes usually tend to leave the snails alone

  13. LW815 @ LW815: @Alkazar would that effect snail mail arriving to the US from CA in any impactful way?

  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @cjg201496 high demand, (somewhat) low supply - only inevitable that some cuts would pop up eventually. i dont use it so i cant attest to any particular vendors.
