Vendor mistake

Not sure if this is the right place for this but didn’t want to post on the vendors page. An un named vendor mailed out the wrong magazines. He apologized and then sent the correct order (plus some for the mix up). He then was trying to pressure me to mail out the incorrect order. I offered to pay for a part of the mixed up order (again none of this was my fault) but I wasn’t comfortable doing so. I sent him what I thought was a reasonable amount. This vendor then lost his shit on me. Am I the one being un reasonable for not mailing out magazines I didn’t order or want? Just wasn’t comfortable taking that risk. I just felt that was a big ask. I’ve also been ordering from this vendor for a long time and has been smooth sailing.

I don’t think so. The vendor made the mistake and you shouldn’t be asked to do something like that, even if they made up for it.

Yeah… and I sent them additional $$ just because I felt bad. But he basically told me to fuck myself and to never email him. Been ordering for over a year

How can he ask you to send funds or return mags when the mistake was entirely on his end?
His reaction seems completely disproportionate, especially after you still sent him additional money simply because you felt bad about the situation. If you’ve been ordering from him for over a year with no problems, it’s unfortunate that he chose to handle a simple mistake this way.

Well apparently it happened to a few other orders so I’ll see what happens. Don’t want to put someone on blast like that. Especially since he did make it right on my end. I think anyone that works in business/ customer service would realize their mistake and take some accountability. Not freak out on a client that’s spent quite a bit of $$ over a long period.

Posting it in their thread might save others from having the same experience, especially if this is how they handle mistakes with long-time customers.

This. A vendors thread is for feedback on that vendor. What's the point of feedback on an anonymous vendor, it's just a whinge or seeking validation. Post to the vendors thread man, that's what its for.

If you’re not comfortable with the shipping risk then you’re not being unreasonable. It wasn’t your mistake. You can just tell him you want the original order you paid for and don’t feel comfortable mailing back the wrong magazines.

Yeah screw that man they got no reason to be upset at least they're getting half their s*** back cuz a lot of people wouldn't even take the risk of sending back any of it
